After calling it quits with Wilson, Hudson, 29, rebounds with cycling champ Lance Armstrong, 36. The new duo hits the town together in Texas before dancing – and kissing! – in Cannes. By the end of summer, the duo reportedly calls it quits.
Kate Dishes on Her Main Men
After joining the cast of the movie-musical Nine, Hudson appears on the cover of W, where she dishes on her main men: ex-husband Chris Robinson and 4-year-old son Ryder. "We can talk about Chris till the dogs come home," she says. "I married Chris, I had a baby with Chris, Chris will be in my life for the rest of my life."

Hudson vs. Hathaway
Hudson returns to her chick flick roots in Bride Wars, where she rivals with her best friend (played by Anne Hathaway) after their weddings are schedule on the same day. "As producer of the film, the funny thing was that when it came I was like, 'Oh wow. I can’t believe this movie hasn’t already been made,'" Hudson tells the Boston Herald. In February, she briefly reunites (again!) with on-and-off again love Wilson.

Hudson, 30, begins dating New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, 33. The actress becomes a fixture at A-Rod's games in New York, even cheering as he won the World Series. But by the holidays, they call it quits.
All-Star Showdown
In director Rob Marshall's dazzling movie-musical, Nine, Hudson gets a chance to channel her inner rock star, singing and dancing as a flirtatious journalist. "It's like the most exhilarating, joyful thing in the world – I had so much fun," she says of making her musical debut – which also stars Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Fergie and leading man Daniel Day-Lewis.

Returning to her rocker roots, Hudson finds love again with Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy, whom she's first spotted with in Paris. By the New Year, news breaks that the couple is expecting their first child together, making the actress's 7-year-old son Ryder a big brother.

"I'm engaged!" a pregnant Hudson, 32, gushes during an interview on Today, announcing her plans to marry rocker Matthew Bellamy. "It just happened a week ago. I'm so glad you noticed. I haven't really announced it…I was waiting for someone to notice."

Though the Something Borrowed star had a hunch she was having a baby girl, Hudson and her fiancé Matthew Bellamy welcome a son named Bingham Hawn, who makes 7½-year-old Ryder a big brother.
