I can't be around basic, provincial-thinking people." Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett was not amused. "Admittedly, I don't know what experiences led you to that opinion, but let me tell you, our community is anything but basic or narrow-minded," he wrote in an open letter. Barnett invited her to come home to give the town another chance, though made it clear, "[W]e certainly don't need your stamp of approval."
