Mario Lopez: Snapshot

Name
Mario Lopez
Date of Birth
October 10, 1973
Birth Place
San Diego, Calif.
As Bayside High's dimple-cheeked jock A.C. Slater, Mario Lopez drew an adoring audience to Saturday morning TV. After five years on Saved by the Bell, he kissed teen idoldom goodbye, reemerging in the new millennium as a hard-bodied hunk.

The California native made headlines in 2004 when longtime love, Ali Landry, annulled their marriage six weeks after their Puerto Rico wedding. Despite being dubbed a philanderer in the press, Lopez persevered with a 2006 stint on Dancing with the Stars. His spicy chemistry with partner Karina Smirnoff resulted in a second-place finish and a two-year romance.

Named PEOPLE's Hottest Bachelor in 2008, Lopez, who took over anchor duties at Extra, relinquished his bachelor status when he wed Courtney Mazza in 2012. The couple has a daughter, Gia, and son, Dominic.
