Tom Cruise reacted to the shocking split news by saying it's wife Katie Holmes who's filing for divorce after five years of marriage."Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children," says a statement from his rep. "Please allow them their privacy to work this out."
The Rock of Ages star, 49, wed Holmes, 33, in November 2006. They have daughter Suri, 6.
