Here we are again ... this time in our third round in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom.
Before the first elimination of the season, my partner Gleb Savchenko and I were around the middle of the leader board but the fan vote was low, which put us in jeopardy. I have a feeling that because The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was airing its final episode and the first part of the reunion at exactly the same hour, we may have lost my fan base.
Everything I was feeling last week was superseded by sadness over Dorothy Hamill's departure. I mentioned to you that we had become close and I was sorry to see her go. I wish her well, hope and pray that her back heals, and I know our friendship will outlast this experience.
This week has been a trying one because there is not much time to rehearse. Unfortunately, I have had multiple work commitments and press so have been left almost exhausted!
But the camaraderie continues – we all congregate in each others' studios, laughing hysterically then realizing that time is of the essence and scrambling back to our respective rooms! We are a multitude of different personalities but somehow manage to blend together, even when we are under pressure.
Each dance seems to present us all with different challenges. The jive was so quick, it was a struggle to keep up and have your brain compute the steps.
The classic dances have such awkward head positions that your body feels like you are permanently left with a stiff neck! Gleb continues to be a darling, but has been tough on me as my time is limited. It has to be frustrating for him since he's used to pairing with professionals. And now he suddenly finds himself with someone who needs help ... desperately!
Anyway my dears, I bid you farewell. Wish me luck ... I need it!
