"I'm in love," Spears, 31, told Entertainment Tonight about beau David Lucado. "I like the fact that [Lucado is] very stubborn and he's stuck in his ways."
"He's just a simple man. I adore him," she said of the Virginia native who has worked at a law firm. "He's really funny and he's really passionate. I love the fact that anything he's involved in he's passionate about and it's contagious."
The singer, whose upcoming album, Britney Jean, will be released Dec. 3, says she met Lucado through friends and that he's earned a seal of approval from one hard-to-please man in her life: father Jamie.
"My Dad's a little crazy like that," she said.
The couple was first spotted together just two months after Spears and Jason Trawick mutually ended their engagement in January.
A source said Brit "seemed giddy" while sharing lunch with Lucado in March. Later that month, the duo "seemed happy" while they shared a meal with friends in Las Vegas, where Spears is ready to begin her concert residency at Planet Hollywood next month.
Since then, they have been spotted everywhere from Hollywood movie premieres to church.
Spears, who has two sons with ex Kevin Federline, has made no secret of her desire to expand her family – even saying recently that she would welcome twins.
"I'd like to have more kids, settle down ... have kids – maybe twins – and get married," she told Germany's RTL network last month. "That would be nice."
