Affleck takes home Saturday night's top honor – and continues to stir buzz over his Oscar snub. "I worked really, really hard to become the best director that I could be," the Argo filmmaker said after picking up his prize for outstanding directorial achievement at L.A.'s Hollywood & Highland center. "I don't think that this makes me a real director, but I think it means I'm on my way."
