Amanda Bynes Is Arrested in New York

Amanda Bynes was arrested Thursday night at her New York apartment for reckless endangerment and underwent a psychiatric evaluation at the hospital, according to a report.
The former child star, 27, who has a history of DUI and other automobile-related cases in Los Angeles courts, has attracted attention for a series of provocative Twitter postings and almost daily media accounts of unusual behavior.
Officers responding to a report of a disorderly person arrested her at her Manhattan high-rise apartment after she threw a bong out the window, News 4 New York reports.
She underwent a psychiatric evaluation at Roosevelt Hospital and then was processed at the police station, according to reports.

Jodi Arias Jury Fails to Decide on Death Penalty

A Phoenix jury on Thursday declared that it could not agree on whether to recommend death or life in prison for Jodi Arias for the 2008 slaying her lover, Travis Alexander.
Arias, dressed in black, tearfully held her hand to her face as the jury's decision was read and Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry Stephens set a June 20 hearing to prepare for a penalty-phase retrial that could start July 18.
The mistrial does not undermine the jury's first-degree murder conviction. But a new jury, very possibly in a different city, will be asked to hear testimony only on the issue of penalty – unless the prosecution decides to offer Arias a plea deal of life. The prosecution announced after the verdict that it will weigh its options.

During an interview with FOX affiliate Q13 in Seattle, to promote his new movie Now You See Me, Morgan Freeman appeared to be napping on-camera. This left costar Michael Caine to field the questions from anchors Kaci Aitchison and Bill Wixey about the crime thriller, which concerns a group of magicians who use their skills to rob banks.
But after his video went viral Thursday, Freeman provided an explanation for his shut-eye. "I wasn't actually sleeping," he jokingly tells PEOPLE. "I'm a beta tester for Google Eyelids. I was merely updating my Facebook page."

Katherine Webb's 1,120-Calorie Diet Is Causing a Stir

Everyone seems to be weighing in on Katherine Webb's diet.
The former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb – whose looks made headlines this winter – shared her daily diet exclusively with PEOPLE in this week's issue, which includes her caloric intake.
The 5'11" model revealed that she eats only about 1,120 calories a day (an average menu: homemade smoothie for breakfast, green apple for snack, spinach salad with almonds and strawberries for lunch, frozen yogurt bar for snack and grilled chicken fingers with sweet potato fries for dinner). But an expert points out that that she could easily be eating more.
"Katherine does an amazing job eating three meals and two snacks, fueling her metabolism," nutritionist Haylie Pomroy tells PEOPLE. But with her workout schedule "she could add at least 600 more healthy calories."

Jeralean Talley, the Oldest Living American, Turns 114

She was born on May 23, 1899. And she's still going strong.
Jeralean Talley of Inkster, Mich., turned 114 on Thursday. It's her first birthday since she officially became the oldest person living in the United States, after Elsie Thompson passed away in March at 113.
"I feel okay," Talley told Time magazine on the eve of her birthday.
