Police Search NFL Star Aaron Hernandez's Home in Connection with Possible Homicide

State and local police spent hours at the home of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez on Tuesday night as another group of officers searched an industrial park about a mile away where a body was discovered the day before.

Police at the scene and prosecutors would not comment on the actions while Sports Illustrated, citing an unidentified source, reported that Hernandez was not believed to be a suspect in what was being treated as a possible homicide. Police had spoken with Hernandez, the magazine said.

Sports Illustrated reported that the link between Hernandez and the case was a rented Chevrolet Suburban with Rhode Island plates that police had been searching for. The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro, Mass., said the SUV was registered to Enterprise and investigators wanted to analyze it for fingerprints.

The Associated Press could not independently confirm the reports.

The once-engaged Dancing With The Stars duo Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy will be together again, this time on a New York stage.

They've signed on for a three-week run of Luis Bravo’s show Forever Tango, performing the sensuous dance of lovers at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre from July 9 through 28.

"It is such an honor to have been given this opportunity to star on Broadway again," Smirnoff said in a statement. "Forever Tango is an incredible production and the Tango is an intense, sensuous dance of passion. Asking Maks to join me was in and of itself intense, so I figured by opening night, it would be explosive!"

Edward Furlong Charged with Assaulting Girlfriend

Actor Edward Furlong pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court to assaulting his girlfriend and threatening her if she called police.

Furlong, 35, who most recently appeared in The Green Hornet but is best known for Terminator 2, was being held on $100,000 bail in his latest scrape with the law.

The actor faced two pending misdemeanor battery cases and was under a restraining order when he went to his girlfriend's home in West Hollywood on May 21 and allegedly assaulted her and damaged a laptop and photo gear, according to the L.A. District Attorney's Office.

Charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor, Furlong could be sentenced up to four years in prison, if convicted. A preliminary hearing was set for July 1.
