Zac Efron's recent guys' night out at a strip club didn't exactly exceed his expectations.
"I had this image of what it would be like. I've heard a lot about these places, mostly from rap music. So I envisioned myself on a nice couch, stunna shades, with like T-Pain and Usher, you know, making it rain money," he said Wednesday on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "And it just wasn't like that."
Instead, he was just like any other patron at Flashdancers Gentlemen's Club in N.Y.C. over the weekend. With High School Musical costar Corbin Bleu and another pal in tow, the group stayed for four hours getting bottle service and lap dances. "They were nice kids. They seemed to have fun," a source tells PEOPLE.
But before he was able to head to the club, Efron, 22, had important business to take care of first: calling girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.

With only two days until Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky tie the knot, the bride-to-be isn't the only excited one.
Ed Mezvinsky, 73, Clinton's future father-in-law and former U.S. congressman, is looking forward to Saturday's big event and was spotted getting a haircut in Rhinebeck, N.Y., where the affair will take place at the Astor Courts estate.
"These are two wonderful human beings that have sensitivity about life and have a warm regard for family, and that's what it's all about," the former Iowa Rep. tells the New York Post.

Between fielding questions about the economy, Afghanistan, and racial tensions in the U.S., President Barack Obama got down to the important stuff on The View Thursday: the alleged rants of Mel Gibson, the jail term of Lindsay Lohan and Jersey Shore's Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi – and the burning question of should she run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.
Quizzed by Joy Behar in a "lightening" round, Obama was asked if he knew if Lohan is in jail. "I actually know that, yes," the President responded.
But Snooki stumped him. "Should Snooki run as mayor of Wasilla?" Behar asked. Obama, laughing, responded, "I gotta admit, I don't know who Snooki is."

"It sucks being fat, you know," Carey, 52, said Wednesday at the CBS, Showtime and The CW TCA Party in Beverly Hills. "I was diabetic with Type-2 diabetes.”

Mike Fisher Says Where He and Carrie Underwood Will Call Home

Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood are still very much in their honeymoon phase – though they are beginning to settle into domestic life.
"I love it here in Ottawa," the hockey-player groom, 30, told reporters Wednesday at his annual hockey camp, reports Canada's CTV. Fisher says that he and his new bride plan to remain in Ottawa for as long as his team, the Senators, wants him.
But is the Canadian capital city also to the liking of his Oklahoma-born, country star wife (whom he met at one of her Ottawa concerts in 2008)? "She likes it, she knows how much I like it, and I want to stay here my whole career if possible," says Fisher. "We're both comfortable here. Home is where we are, so let's make this home."
