Lydia McLaughlin on Real Housewives of Orange County Costars: 'Those Women are Intense'

When Lydia McLaughlin was offered the chance to join the eighth season of The Real Housewives of Orange County she leapt at the chance.
But now, just halfway through her maiden season, she admits that she may have been a bit naive when she climbed aboard the reality TV ranks.
"It is more difficult than I thought it would be!" she told PEOPLE while attending Corolle's Adopt-a-Doll event in Los Angeles on Saturday. "I was just like, 'Yeah, what do I have to lose?! What would people not like about me?! I'm just going to be myself, and I'm going to be positive, and have a different type of voice!'"

Denise Richards: Charlie Sheen & I 'Actually Enjoy Hanging Out'

A week after calling Charlie Sheen the "greatest ex," his former wife Denise Richards is speaking about her relationship with the Anger Management star.
"My situation with Charlie is that we've gotten along for quite some time now, and it's much better, I think," she told reporters at Corolle's Adopt-a-Doll Event in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Richards, 42, said that the former couple remain focused on their daughters, Lola, 7, and Sam, 9.
"One can feel one way and one can feel another way, and there's lots of feelings and emotions there, but at the end of the day we want our daughters to benefit by us getting along," she said. "For myself, I don't want to have an unhealthy relationship with him ... life's too short for that and we actually enjoy hanging out and being with the kids, and it's much easier."

In the end, David Beckham's final game as a professional soccer player wrapped up as if it were scripted on Saturday, with the former England captain lifting a trophy to roars from a crowd in Paris.
The 38-year-old, who announced his retirement last week, broke down in tears as he was substituted in the final moments of Paris Saint-Germain's 3-1 win over Brest. But he was soon laughing again as the crowd chanted his name and he was thrown into the air by his teammates.
