A new pony for Paris?

Michael Jackson's daughter, now 15, spent the past weekend with her mother, Debbie Rowe, scoping out horses at a ranch in Temecula, Calif.

Rowe, 54, who lives on a ranch, breeds horses and who has rekindled a relationship with her daughter in recent months, accompanied Paris to Bricker Performance Ponies, a training and show horse facility in Riverside County, Calif. They later shared a sushi meal, capping off a relaxed weekend together.

For years, Debbie Rowe, Michael Jackson's ex-wife and the mother of two of his children, was out of the picture.

As followers of the frequently bizarre Jackson family saga know, the former dermatology nurse – who was married to Jackson from 1996 to 1999 – gave her pop star husband sole custody of Michael Joseph "Prince" Jackson Jr., 16, and Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson, 15, in the divorce.

Rowe, 54, was awarded $8 million in the settlement and, except for occasional visits with her children, steered clear of the family. She settled in Palmdale, Calif., about an hour outside Los Angeles, breeding horses and zealously guarding her privacy.

In the 1970s, after McDonald's introduced Ronald but before Wendy's introduced the elderly "Where's the Beef?" lady, the Jack in the Box fast-food chain featured commercials with a cherubic Rodney Allen Rippy, no more than 4, attempting to bite into a Jumbo Jack.

"It's too big to eat!" says the tot, barely distinguishable because of the food in his mouth. (See commercial in video below.)

How famous did cute little Rodney become? Enough for Tonight Show host Johnny Carson to mention him in monologues. Enough for Michael Jackson, who was 10 years Rodney's senior, to befriend him at the time.

Punk rock Paris!

Michael Jackson's daughter Paris, now 14, debuted a more edgy and downtown look this week when she Tweeted photos of herself wearing a knotted Pink Floyd T-shirt with a short, spiked jet black coif.

Titling her Tweet "late night creativity," Paris sported a new look that included black liner rimming her striking light-blue eyes, and dagger-style earrings.

Her transformation from long-haired and girlie draws comparisons to the latest cropped, rock-inspired look of Miley Cyrus.
