Another British boy band member has traded in the single life for a new fiancée. The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran has proposed to his girlfriend of six years, shoe designer Nareesha McCafferey, a rep confirms to PEOPLE.
"I found out Nareesha was planning a surprise party on my birthday with her family so I thought [it was] perfect," Kaneswaran tells the U.K.'s Hello! magazine. "I'd bought the ring months before I'd been trying to figure out the right time."
And then Kaneswaran flipped the script on McCafferey's birthday party plans.
"I said to her I wanted a present I would always remember this year by ... for you to be my wife," he said. "It was like a military operation to plan the proposal. I couldn’t even tell the other boys in the band in case they blew the surprise."

As her newlywed husband Cody Johnson lay face down at the bottom of a cliff on the night of July 7, Jordan Graham fired off a flurry of text messages to her friends, discussing her dance moves and planting fake stories to explain Johnson's disappearance, federal prosecutors say in pretrial briefs.
Although there were no eyewitnesses to Johnson's tragic fall at Glacier National Park, prosecutors say those text messages, along with testimony from friends and fellow churchgoers about Graham's behavior before and after the tragedy, will help prove first-degree murder to the federal jury to be impaneled Monday morning in Missoula, Mont.
Graham, 22, "engaged in a nine-day campaign to hide her crime from friends, family and law enforcement," wrote the prosecutors, adding that Graham, "lied to Glacier National Park law enforcement and every other law enforcement agency she encountered in order to hide her crime."

The invitation, designed by Smitten on Paper, includes an RSVP card for recipients to declare whether they "can't wait" or have "something more important to attend than celebrating the union of Sean & Catherine."

They've wined, dined and PDA'ed from Central Park to Saint-Tropez. Now that Ashton Kutcher is finally divorced, there seems to be only one logical stop left for the actor and Mila Kunis on their globe-trotting romance: The altar.
"Ashton and Mila have talked about getting engaged and married for quite awhile," a business source close to Kutcher tells PEOPLE. "He wants to get engaged during the holidays."
The last barrier to a proposal finally crumbled this week when the court signed off on Kutcher's divorce from Demi Moore, two years after the pair announced their separation following six years of marriage.
