• Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal, sharing an early breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien in Brentwood, Calif. Walking in with their arms around each other, the casually dressed pair shared a table for two in the back, ordering coffee, an omelette and fruit. The pair talked and traded sections of the Los Angeles Times at the table. Later that night, the couple was spotted again – this time at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont where they celebrated Robert Downey Jr.'s 43rd birthday with Cameron Diaz, Gerard Butler, Ben Stiller and more.

• Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, getting touchy-feely in an elevator up to Sushi Park in Los Angeles. Once in the restaurant, the affectionate couple had a quick meal, remaining very cute and loving, an onlooker reports.

• Victoria Beckham, shopping for dresses and accessories at Los Angeles vintage boutique The Way We Wore. Arriving with a bodyguard, driver and three female friends, Posh tried on a few items before buying two large bags worth of dresses, belts, clutches and other items.

• David Beckham, out for the night with his guy friends at West Hollywood's Hyde. There sans Victoria Beckham, the footballer was so low-key that clubgoers barely even noticed he was there. But when they did, well, the ladies went nuts, a clubgoer tells us. Still, Beckham kept his composure, acting very cool as admiring female fans walked by to snag a good look. Also at the club that night: Lindsay Lohan, making an early arrival (and departure!).

• Leighton Meester, checking out her Gossip Girls' castmate Ed Westwick's band, the Filthy Youth, performing at the Annex on New York's Lower East Side. Earlier in the day, the actress brunched at hipster favorite Freemans along with costar (and concert date) Dreama Walker and two other friends, and the group also did some shopping at Lolli by Reincarnation Boutique.

• Drew Barrymore and Justin Long, dining for hours with friends at Dakota, a steakhouse inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The party of 10 wanted a little more privacy and asked the manager to dim the lights, cheering when he obliged. "Justin and Drew were cozy," an onlooker tells us about the twosome. The next day, Barrymore and Long were spotted at CityWalk Cinemas, where they caught Owen Wilson's comedy, Drillbit Taylor.

• Kate Bosworth, mixing with a star-studded crowd (including Mary-Kate Olsen and Clive Owen) during a Calvin Klein sponsored bash at New York's Mercer Kitchen following a screening of her movie, 21. The actress was happy to hang out with Helena Christensen as revelers feasted on salmon, French fries and lots of cookies and pastries in the underground restaurant. Meanwhile, Olsen stayed deep in conversation with friend Derek Blasberg – tucked away in the back – and 21 star Jim Sturgess stuck close with his girlfriend, Mickey O'Brien. Later, the crowd moved to Submercer, a tiny subterranean bar that guests could enter from inside the restaurant – continuing the celebrations late into the night.

• Lindsay Lohan, dining with a group of pals at Nobu. "Before the meal even started, Lindsay leaned into the table to her friends and the entire table got up and had a cigarette break outside," says one fellow diner. It was a short meal for Lohan, who interrupted the get-together with Blackberry-ing and smoking before picking up a separate bill. "She looked great," says the eyewitness.
