Casey Anthony Says Her Life Has Become 'Surreal'
Originally posted 01/05/2012 07:25AM
Casey Anthony says it's weird being on camera, but that's not the weirdest thing about her just-surfaced video diary.
For the first time since her July acquittal of murdering her daughter Caylee, Anthony is speaking out and showing her face – in a personal video diary she says she recorded in October.
Sporting a new look, with a blonde bob and wearing black-framed glasses and a white tank top, Anthony, 25, talks about her life in probation – how happy she is to have a computer, phone and camera she can call her own. She also mentions that she has adopted a dog.
"It's just a little surreal how much things have changed since July, and how many things haven't changed," she says. "But the good thing is that things are starting to look up and things are starting to change in a good way. I just hope that things stay good and that they only get better."

Casey Anthony Prosecutor's New Book Attacks Defense
Originally posted 11/15/2011 07:30AM
Retired Florida prosecutor Jeff Ashton calls the trial arguments of Casey Anthony's defense team, which resulted in an acquittal for the accused murderer, "a complete crock of crap" in a new book published Tuesday.
"I've written a book to let people know the truth about the case from my perspective," Ashton tells the Orlando Sentinel of Imperfect Justice, Prosecuting Casey Anthony.
In the 322-page book, the paper reports, the lawyer writes that once her trial was underway Casey told two mental health professionals that her 2-year-old daughter Caylee had drowned in the family swimming pool – deliberately killed by Casey's father, George.
She also told the experts that her father molested her and she feared a similar fate awaited Caylee.

Originally posted 10/09/2011 07:00AM
Wearing dark sunglasses, a long wig and a baseball cap, Casey Anthony repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment Saturday morning as she answered questions in a deposition for a civil case against her.
Anthony, 25, is being sued by Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, a Florida woman who claims she suffered damages when Anthony told police a nanny by the same name had kidnapped her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
During her murder trial, Anthony's lawyer, Jose Baez, acknowledged that she had made up the story and that such a nanny never existed.
