The all-star season of Dancing with the Stars doesn't start until Sept. 24, but contestant Drew Lachey is wasting no time in sizing up the competition.
"Everyone on the show is very competitive," he tells PEOPLE. "Everyone's laughing and like, 'Oh, haha, this is going to be fun,' but I guarantee once the show starts up, you're going to see everybody's true colors come out."
One of the people the 98 Degrees band mate, 36, sees as a direct rival – on the dance floor, that is – is former 'NSYNC singer Joey Fatone, 35.

Nick and Vanessa Lachey celebrated their wedding anniversary in a sweet (and public) way over the weekend.
"What a year! Love, Marriage, Love, Baby. Thank You @NickSLachey for constantly making me the happiest woman I can be," a pregnant Vanessa Tweeted on Sunday at her husband.
Responded her hubby: "@VanessaLachey I love you kid! One down, many happy more to go. Next year, we celebrate as a family! Happy anniversary."

Almost in the final stretch before her baby boy is due in September, Vanessa Lachey took in some relaxation time this week.
Joined by an unidentifiable female friend, Lachey stopped by Bellacures nail salon in L.A.'s Studio City area, where the Wipeout host got what's called a gelicure.
"She looked relaxed and comfortable in a black maxi dress," an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
Lachey did have one request unrelated to nails during her time at the salon. The source says the mom-to-be asked for an iced tea from Il Tramezzino, the Italian eatery nearby.

Vanessa Lachey Loves Her Baby Bump, Fears Her Belly Button

From form-fitting sweaters to sunset photo shoots, Vanessa Lachey seems to have no qualms about showing off her burgeoning belly as her September due date approaches.
Her belly button, on the other hand, is a growing concern, the first-time mom-to-be, 31, says.
"Everyone's belly button is different. Some women's belly buttons pop and some women's [don't]," she tells Bethenny Frankel on Friday's episode of Bethenny, referring to the tendency of belly buttons to push outward during the second or third trimester of a pregnancy.
"I thought, 'Oh, I wouldn't mind if it popped because then it would be like the turkey's done, right?' And it's cute," she continues. "But my stylist was like, 'You don't want that to pop. That's like having a third nipple.' "

Pregnancy is clearly agreeing with Vanessa Lachey, who posted a photo of herself – highlighting her growing baby bump – in an infinity pool at sunset.
"Thanks for sharing all your Beautiful baby bumps & embracing your bodies!" Lachey, 31, Tweeted Tuesday. "As promised, here's one @NickSLachey took."
Her photographer, husband Nick Lachey, 38, is also clearly enamored of his expectant subject.
