The Voice's Final Competition: Country Takes on Indie Rock
Originally posted 06/17/2013 11:00PM
Will the winner of this season's The Voice be a little bit country? Or whole lot indie rock?
The three remaining acts on the singing competition made it tough for voters on Monday, each turning out distinctive performances on the show's energetic live final competition, which saw coaches Blake Shelton and Usher take heartfelt meetings with the artists and their families.
Predictions for the winner came directly from the judges themselves, with Adam Levine who quickly called it for Texas teen Danielle Bradbery, the show's youngest competitor. At just 16, she covered hits by a host of Nashville's powerhouse female singers including Patty Loveless, Pam Tillis and Sara Evans.
"I am insanely jealous of Blake for snagging you, from the beginning," Levine teased. "Your voice is so unbelievably powerful and perfect. I think Danielle is the winner of this thing."

Originally posted 06/17/2013 10:00AM
After a season filled with unique talent, The Voice wraps up its final night of competition Monday with two country acts squaring off against one inspiring indie rocker.
Will veteran coach Blake Shelton prevail again? Or will newcomer Usher take a win in his first season on the show?
Powerful performances are expected from Oklahoma's Swon Brothers, a duo known for sweet harmonies who last week was inducted into Oklahoma's Music Hall of Fame. But the Team Blake singers must fend off another country challenge from finalist Danielle Bradbery of Texas, the show's youngest contestant at 16, who has shown maturity in performance and praise for her pitch-perfect singing skills.

She may be outnumbered by the male coaches on The Voice, but at home Shakira is on far more equal footing.
When it comes to Spanish soccer star Gerard Piqué, 26, her partner since 2011, "He has his own world and that's actually one of the healthiest things about the relationship," the singer-songwriter and new mom, 36, tells Elle magazine in its July cover story.

The Voice: Danielle Bradbery Wows Coaches at Semi-Finals
Originally posted 06/11/2013 09:00AM
At 16, Danielle Bradbery may be the youngest singer left on The Voice, but on Monday Blake Shelton's contestant proved she has what it takes to beat her older competitors.
Shakira called her "a little star," while a gushing Usher used the word "amazeballs" to describe the Texas teen's near-flawless performances, including "Please Remember Me," the 1995 Rodney Crowell tune later recorded by Tim McGraw.
"What you possess is genuine and God-sent," Usher told Bradbery.
With five artists left, Bradbery added to the increasingly tough competition as the artists covered disco (Donna Summer), '70s rock (Loggins & Messina) and even German electronic dance music from the producer Zedd on Monday's show.

Team Blake's dominance on The Voice has finally come to an end.
After three weeks of keeping his team intact as his fellow coaches lost contestants during eliminations, Blake Shelton finally said goodbye to one of his three country artists Tuesday night: Baylor University marching band member Holly Tucker.
Tucker, 19, who received high marks for her sassy rendition of Martina McBride's "When God-Fearing Women Get the Blues" and a heartfelt version of "My Wish" on Monday night, dissolved into tears at the end of the show when the Swon Brothers, also of Team Blake, earned the final spot in the top five.
