After TLC pulled all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting from the air, following reports that Josh Duggar had molested five underage girls when he was 14 (he subsequently apologized and said he had "acted inexcusably"), there was talk that the show would shift from the entire family and focus on daughters Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald.
It's no surprise a spin-off centered on the older Duggar daughters – whose marriages and pregnancies had become a popular part of the show – was being considered during the "near-constant" and "intense" conversations about the show's future, as a source who has worked closely with the family tells PEOPLE in this week's issue, but the source says not everyone was on board.

Check out that belly!
Jessa (Duggar) Seewald took to Instagram on Thursday to post a picture of her growing bump as the end of her second trimester approaches.
"#BabySeewald at 25 weeks 4 days!" wrote the mom-to-be as the caption to the mirror selfie, in which she rests her hand on her belly. "Just a little over 14 weeks to go! Counting down the days with @ben_seewald!"
Seewald, 22, and husband Ben, 20, have not yet revealed the baby's gender. The baby is due Nov. 1 – which also happens to be the couple's first wedding anniversary.

When TLC announced last week that it has officially axed 19 Kids and Counting, the network said it is putting together a documentary about child sex abuse.
The Duggars also mentioned the special in their statement on the cancellation, writing that they "look forward to working with TLC" and "hope that it is an encouragement to many."
Now, a source at TLC tells PEOPLE that Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard will indeed appear in the documentary, which is in the early stages of production. Both women have come forward as molestation victims of brother Josh Duggar when he was a teenager.

After nine seasons, 227 episodes and a number of one-off specials, TLC has officially canceled 19 Kids and Counting after star Josh Duggar's molestation scandal surfaced this spring.
The reality show "will no longer appear on the air," the network told the Associated Press in a statement Thursday.
TLC pulled the plug on 19 Kids following public pressure that erupted when a resurfaced police report from 2006 revealed that Josh had been investigated for child molestation of six people when he was a teen.

Sure, their kiss in the photo below is romantic, but Jill (Duggar) Dillard and husband Derick's affectionate smooch is somewhat overshadowed by the cute expression on their son Israel's face as he takes it all in.
