With that in mind, it's not too surprising that the Bachelor couple hasn't been keeping up with this season of The Bachelorette starring JoJo Fletcher, who was the runner-up on Higgins' season of The Bachelor.
"We actually haven't been watching this season," Higgins, 28, tells PEOPLE. "Our life is really crazy. We travel all the time."

Though "wedding planning hasn't officially begun," the Bachelor couple tells PEOPLE this is the perfect time.
"We've finally gotten to a place in our lives where it has slowed down a little bit," says Bushnell, 26.

He might have earned himself the nickname "Bad Chad" for his behavior on The Bachelorette this season, but according to Chad Johnson himself, he's not exactly the guy he was portrayed to be on TV.
Skyping into Jimmy Kimmel Live! following Monday's episode of the hit reality dating show, where we finally saw the last of Johnson for once and for all, the Oklahoma-based realtor did his best to defend himself for his antics this season – which included physical altercations with the other contestants and threats of violence.
"I actually didn't watch any of the episodes until about a week ago, and then I started to kind of realize when I watched the last one, like: 'Oh, that's why the people are saying the things online that they're saying,' " Johnson said. "That makes a little sense now."

Chad Johnson may have been eliminated on last week's The Bachelorette, but he's not going anywhere quite yet. The season 12 villain will return for more in a week, with previews promising a dramatic final confrontation between Johnson and the other guys.
But in the meantime, the Oklahoma-based luxury real estate agent has been providing plenty of fodder online to tide viewers over during the agonizing two-week wait between episodes.

All's fair in love and reality TV, right?
While there's no doubt that many of our favorite contestants on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette over the years would probably agree with that phrase, there are quite a few seem to have taken it a little too literally. They plotted, schemed, lied and betrayed – and they made for some pretty amazing television in the process.
And, if we were really lucky, they then ended up on one of the spin-off shows, Bachelor in Paradise (currently airing Sundays and Mondays on ABC) and Bachelor Pad (which celebrates its fifth anniversary this weekend).
