Now, the family has moved on to even more provocative fare.
In another exclusive clip from the new TLC show 7 Little Johnstons, patriarch Trent, 39, decides to explain the birds and bees to Anna, 14, and Elizabeth, 13.
It literally renders the girls speechless. (And if you had any doubt about the topic of their awkward chat, take a close look at the image of Trent suggestively drilling something in his workshop for a clue.)

Clinton Kelly is returning to TLC!
The longtime What Not to Wear host will return to the network later this summer for an as-yet-untitled show on which he and Real World veteran Devyn Simone make over people's online dating profiles.
Though Kelly has been married to psychologist Damon Bayles since 2009, he freely admits he's obsessed with how dating works these days: "Whenever I have a single friend anywhere near me, and they're on their apps ... I'm like, 'Give me your phone.' I need to see what's out there. I'm fascinated by how crazy it is now."
The snap judgments the drive online dating are familiar turf for Kelly, who spent 10 years helping women improve the way they presented themselves to the world.

That's the question posed in Wednesday's episode of Strange Love.
For years, Annalisa Hackleman of Sunnyvale, California, has learned to live with her five-o'clock shadow. At 13, she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, a hormonal condition that results in extra hair growth all over her body. Laser hair removal didn't help.

[BRIGHTCOVE "4114271911001" "" "" "auto"] They jokingly call themselves the "Brad and Angelina of little people" – for the size of their brood and the mix of biological and adopted children from foreign countries – and the "real-life seven dwarfs."
But now you can call Amber and Trent Johnston – whose family was the subject of a PEOPLE profile in 2012 – TV stars.
Their new series, 7 Little Johnstons, debuts on TLC on Tuesday, March 31, at 10 p.m. The network, which aired a single episode on the family in January, has ordered 10 episodes.

There is a show about an obese woman on TLC that has such cultural significance that anyone in our modern society would benefit from watching.
For starters, it's hard not to fall for My Big Fat Fabulous Life because its star, Whitney Thore, is downright lovable. First a YouTube sensation for her viral Fat Girl Dancing video, she is whip-smart, funny, open and kind, but at 380 lbs., she also represents something that does not exist on reality TV: A fat person who is truly happy with herself, just the way she is.
Thore, 30, spoke to PEOPLE about life as a newly minted reality star – whose show was renewed for a second season, we have learned exclusively – the biggest misconceptions about her (no, she's not promoting obesity) and how she learned to accept herself.
