Another British boy band member has traded in the single life for a new fiancée. The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran has proposed to his girlfriend of six years, shoe designer Nareesha McCafferey, a rep confirms to PEOPLE.
"I found out Nareesha was planning a surprise party on my birthday with her family so I thought [it was] perfect," Kaneswaran tells the U.K.'s Hello! magazine. "I'd bought the ring months before I'd been trying to figure out the right time."
And then Kaneswaran flipped the script on McCafferey's birthday party plans.
"I said to her I wanted a present I would always remember this year by ... for you to be my wife," he said. "It was like a military operation to plan the proposal. I couldn’t even tell the other boys in the band in case they blew the surprise."

The songbird has regained her voice.
Just days after Ariana Grande alarmed fans with the news that she would have to stay quiet as she took time off to allow a hemorrhaged vocal cord to heal, the pop star posted an Instagram video Thursday in which she states in strong tone, "My voice is healthy."
"Everybody on Instagram telling me to feel better, I thank you so much for the well wishes, but I'm actually completely fine," Grande, 20, says on the short video. "My voice is healthy. I'm talking right now."

The message, short and sweet, says it all.
"R.I.P Harry dog," Tweeted Nathan Sykes, of the English-Irish boy band The Wanted, along with a pic of himself with the photogenic prized pooch.
"Thanks for all of the memories, smiles and love. We're gonna miss you," said the 19-year-old musician.
Fans clearly responded appropriately. An hour after Sykes's original post went up on Saturday, he Tweeted again.
"Thanks for all of your lovely tweets :)," he said, "making me smile."

It's a boy band battle! Do you prefer the clean-cut One Direction boys, or the rough-and-tumble guys of The Wanted?

Did Christina Aguilera pull a diva act on The Wanted?
That's what the boy band is saying after they came away from an appearance on The Voice feeling most unwanted by the superstar judge.
"She's a total b––––," band member Tom Parker tells 92.3 Now radio station in New York. "She just sat there and didn't speak to us. Wouldn't even look at us."
Bandmate Max George called the songstress "a bit scary" and "quite rude."
