Bono Rides a Bike for the First Time Since His Accident – with a Little Help from Jimmy Fallon

[YOUTUBE "Uq72nbXTCMo"] Bono and U2 were supposed to be opening-week guests when Jimmy Fallon took over the Tonight Show last November, but those plans were cancelled after the Irish singer was seriously injured in a bike accident while riding through New York's Central Park.

But on Friday night, the Grammy winner and humanitarian got back on a bike for the first time since his accident, and joined Fallon in a sketch that poked fun at the crash that left him with serious injuries including a facial fracture, three fractures of his shoulder blade and a fractured left arm.

Jimmy Fallon's pitch-perfect musical impressions are a Tonight Show staple at this point, but they still never fail to impress.

Case in point: Monday, when the chameleonic host and house band The Roots (the "hardest-working band in late night," as Fallon calls them) took over for U2, who were forced to cancel their appearance after Bono took a spill on his bicycle. (An incident that followed his plane's hatch opening mid-flight – it's been a rough week.)
