Confirmed: Mel Gibson's a Dad – for the Eighth Time

Mel Gibson became a father for the eighth time on Friday when his girlfriend, musician Oksana Grigorieva, gave birth to a baby girl, PEOPLE confirms.
"This will confirm that Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles," says Gibson's rep, Alan Nierob, confirming earlier reports of the event. No further details were available.
"Everything is great! They couldn't be happier," a friend tells PEOPLE. "Everyone's healthy and thrilled. He loooves it!"
Gibson, 53, was at Grigorieva's side in Los Angeles until she and the baby went home from the hospital, then he flew to New York Sunday to resume shooting The Beaver, costarring Jodie Foster.
On Monday morning, an announcement of the birth was made on the set of the film in White Plains, N.Y. "Everyone sang '[For] He's a Jolly Good Fellow,' and he blushed," a member of the film crew told PEOPLE.

Karolina Kurkova is the proud mother of a boy.
"Supermodel and G.I. Joe actress Karolina Kurkova, 25, and film producer of Voices of Iraq, Archie Drury, welcomed a son Thursday in New York," her rep confirms to PEOPLE. "Both mother and baby are happy and healthy."
The baby boy, named Tobin Jack Drury, weighed in at 6 lbs. 3 oz., and is the first child for the couple.

Mel Gibson may be a father for the eighth time: His girlfriend, musican Oksana Grigorieva, gave birth to a baby girl, according to reports circulating on the Web. PEOPLE is currently attempting to confirm the news.
The baby, who was due in December, arrived Friday, says RadarOnline.com.
Gibson, 53, has seven children (six sons and a daughter) with his estranged wife Robyn, while Oksana has a son, Alexander, with her former boyfriend, actor Timothy Dalton.

Olympian Shannon Miller Becomes a Mom

It's a boy – perhaps future member of Team U.S.A.? – for Shannon Miller.
The former Olympic gymnast and husband John Falconetti welcomed a son, John Rocco Falconetti, at 6:46 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
"Home with our new baby! 7 lbs., 11 oz of cuteness!," Shannon Tweeted Friday afternoon.
"There is nothing that compares to seeing your child for the first time...hearing him cry and holding him in our arms," she told Inside Gymnastics. "We feel so blessed and are excited to begin this new adventure!"
Miller, 32, who is the most decorated gymnast in U.S. history, announced the pregnancy in May. Her due date was Nov. 5.

Colin Farrell and Girlfriend Welcome a Son

It's a boy for Colin Farrell and girlfriend Alicja Bachleda.
The couple, who costar in the upcoming film Ondine, welcomed son Henry Tadeusz Farrell on Oct. 7 in Los Angeles, a rep for the actor tells PEOPLE.
Henry is the first child for Bachleda, 26, and the second for Farrell, who has a 6-year-old son, James, with model Kim Bordenave.
Confirming the pregnancy to PEOPLE in September, Farrell, 33, said he was looking forward to "everything" about parenthood. "I will take it as it comes. Even changing dirty diapers."

Baseball's Mike Piazza Now a Happy Father of Two

Early retirement is treating Mike Piazza well. The former all-star New York Mets catcher and wife Alicia Rickter are now raising two daughters, having just welcomed new addition Paulina Sophia to the family.
"We are blessed to have two healthy girls – we are so grateful," Piazza, 41, tells PEOPLE.
Paulina arrived on Aug. 3 at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, weighing 6 lbs., 3 oz., and measuring 24½ inches long. She and mom Alicia, 37, an actress and former Playboy model, are healthy and happy, says a Piazza rep.

Robin Thicke, Paula Patton Expecting a Baby

There's a baby on the way for Robin Thicke and Paula Patton!
Patton, 33, is pregnant, according to a message posted on Facebook by Thicke's mother, former soap opera star Gloria Loring.
"I am going to be Nana Gloria again as my son Robin Thicke & his wife Paula are expecting their first baby!," Loring wrote.
This will be the first child for the high school sweethearts, who married in June 2005.

It's an equal-opportunity family for Mark Wahlberg, who's expecting his fourth child with wife Rhea Durham.
"I'm having another girl," Wahlberg told PEOPLE at GQ's The Gentleman's Ball at New York's Edison Ballroom on Wednesday. "So I'll have two girls and two boys."
But four is probably enough for the Boston native, 38.

That's what the invitations – obtained by PEOPLE – are made to look like for Kourtney Kardashian's upcoming baby shower.
"Please join us for a baby shower honoring Kourtney Kardashian, November 14, 2009, Noon," the invite reads in gold lettering on light-blue stock. As printed on the back, the invites were designed by Los Angeles-based invitationers Lehr & Black, who also produced Khloe Kardashian's wedding invitation. The shower is being thrown by Kourtney's sisters Kim and Khole, and their mom Kris.

Scott Foley & Wife Expecting First Child

There's a baby on the way for The Unit star Scott Foley and Marika Dominczyk.
Sporting a noticeable bump at the premiere of her latest film, I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, Dominczyk, 29, is in her third trimester, PEOPLE has learned. This will be the first child for Foley, 37, and Dominczyk, who wed in 2006.
The actor was previously married to Felicity costar Jennifer Garner, but the pair split in 2003.
When contacted, a rep for the actors had no comment.
