Looks like the Easter Bunny has some competition this year!
First Dog Bo donned a pair of familiar pink ears for an early Easter outing with mom Michelle Obama on Wednesday, visiting military families at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.
The First Lady and her constant companion brought Easter cookies and tickets for the White House's Easter Egg Roll to share with the residents of Fisher House, which houses military families who have a member receiving medical care, and even joined in for some arts and crafts activities.

Michelle Obama made a surprising confession Monday night about her dog, Bo.
"He is my son," the First Lady told David Letterman. "I have two girls – and a boy."
Obama has always said she considers herself the Mom-in-Chief, and in true mom form, she had nothing but praise for her furry kid. "Bo is wonderful," she said. "He is the smartest dog on the planet."

Every office needs a little puppy therapy – even the Oval Office.
Following a full few days with British Prime Minister David Cameron, President Barack Obama took a moment to spend some quality time with his big guy at home: Portuguese water dog Bo.
While the President crouched down to rub Bo's head, he appeared to say a few words to the dog, who has of late been enjoying time in his backyard.

Whoda thunkit? Bo Obama has an exhibitionist streak.

It's hard to believe there's anything better than an egg-laying bunny, but it turns out such a thing exists. We submit to you, an egg-laying Bo Obama dressed as the Easter Bunny.
Bo got all dressed up and clucking to preview the 134th annual White House Easter Egg Roll, happening on April 9. The theme this year is "Let's Go, Let's Play, Let's Move."

Visitors to the White House on Thursday got to see more than just the East Room on their tour.
First Lady Michelle Obama greeted – and hugged – tourists for more than an hour, and their happy faces, shock and tears were all broadcast live on the White House's official website.
"Surprise," she told the stream of visitors. "Welcome to my house."
Clad in a black and white printed dress, and with dog Bo at her feet, the First Lady warmly greeted an array of people – from students to senior citizens – and engaged them in short, but personable, conversations about everything from her "Let's Move!" campaign ("Tell your grandbabies I said to eat your vegetables," she told one woman) to fashion ("I've never seen sparkly Uggs before," she told another).

Air Force One is a dog-friendly facility – and it's off-leash.
In this just-released photo, President Barack Obama is seen roughing around with Bo during a Dec. 23 flight to Hawaii, where they headed for the Obama family's annual holiday vacation.
Obama was surely relieved to get a break after dealing with a lengthy battle over payroll tax cuts. With the other members of the First Family already in Hawaii, it was just the President and his dog who made the trip together.

For President Barack Obama, the dog rides inside.
Obama and his Portuguese water dog Bo left their digs at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for a little joyride to PetSmart in December, enjoying the view from the presidential motorcade on their way from Washington, D.C., to Alexandria, Va.
The photo, posted on the White House Flickr page, was also shared by Obama strategist David Axelrod on Twitter.
"How loving owners transport their dogs," he wrote, most likely in reference to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who has apparently transported his dog in a crate and strapped to the top of his car.

"If you died and came back as a person or thing, what would it be?"
For both George Clooney and First Lady Michelle Obama, the answer is this: a dog.
Clooney answered the question, one of many in the famous Proust Questionnaire, for Vanity Fair's February issue.

He's coming home!
Bo Obama made sure the trip back would be faster – by sprinting down the airport tarmac. After a little over a week in Hawaii with the rest of his family, the First Dog looked thrilled to be back in the chilly mid-Atlantic on Tuesday morning.
Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland is familiar territory for the Portuguese water dog. He travels almost as much as his famous dad, and can practically call Air Force One his home away from home.
