It's just a-maze-ing!

Over the course of 15 years, Greg Krueger has built nearly 100 yards of feline fun at the St. James, Minnesota, home he shares with his four cats – and it puts every cat tower and tree we've seen to shame.

There are tunnels, stairs, cat- and bird-shaped lookouts, comfy beds and more in Krueger's purr-fect pad, which CBS 4 Minnesota is calling a "feline amusement park."

California's First Cat Café to Open in October

California dreamin' just got a lot furrier.

The state's first cat café, called Catfe, is opening in Los Angeles's Chinatown neighborhood in October, according to the LA Weekly – and it sounds like the service there is going to be cat-tastic.

Besides coffee, tea and other drinks, there will plenty of felines to pet and even adopt if you're older than 18, says the magazine.

Catfe is the brainchild of Carlos Wong, who created a Kickstarter campaign earlier this year in hopes of bringing coffee and cats to the masses in the United States. According to the LA Weekly, he partnered with Chinatown BID and Best Friends Animal Society L.A. for the venture, which will also feature costumed maids and deejays.

Terminally Ill Man Seeks Home for Beloved Cat

Originally posted 09/03/2014 02:30PM

Labor Day weekend turned into a labor of love for one terminally ill Utah man.

He walked into the Humane Society of Utah with his best friend of 13 years – a cat named Nefertiti – and did something that would break any pet owner's heart: He gave her up.

The man, whose name is being withheld by the shelter, told a rescue worker he was dying and that his biggest fear was passing away in his home and leaving the cat uncared for, be it several days or more.

Somebody deserves free pizza for life.

Because this idea – the one we're sure some people laughed off when it was blurted out in a brainstorming session, about cats starring in Pizza Hut Japan's new ad campaign – is now the stuff of legend.

In one of the new spots available on YouTube (and there are many more should you need a break today!), a group of seemingly annoyed cats sit at a table wearing Pizza Hut hats, waiting for their pizza delivery.

The Daily Treat: See Why This Sad-Looking Cat Makes Us So Happy

Originally posted 08/19/2014 07:10PM

There are lots of things to be sad about these days (example: We're not having Ryan Gosling's baby) but Pixie the cat isn't bothered by any of them.

This 2-year-old feline, who resides in the U.K., has the eyes of a girl who just spent hours crying over a broken heart. But she's really as happy as a mid-nap cat – meaning her looks are purely for the benefit of others, like us.

"She's happy most of the time," the Persian cat's owner, Sophie Batt, says in an interview with the U.K. Daily Mail. "She's always playing or eating."
