Melrose Place alum Amy Locane-Bovenizer on Tuesday was convicted of vehicular homicide stemming from a 2010 accident in which the actress drove with a blood-alcohol level that was nearly three times the legal limit.
Locane-Bovenizer, 40, was acquitted of a more serious charge of aggravated manslaughter after her SUV hit another car, killing a 60-year-old woman and injuring her husband as they were turning into their driveway in Montgomery Township, N.J.
The actress faces five to 10 years in prison – plus another three to five years in prison for a conviction on a second count of assault by auto due to the injuries she caused Fred Seeman, who was seriously injured. His wife, Helene Seeman, was killed in the June 2010 crash.

Matthew Fox stayed quiet last year following allegations that he hit a woman partly because it was a criminal case, but also because he didn't want to give the claims any legitimacy by addressing them.
"When you're involved in a criminal and a civil case, you're advised not to speak about these things, because they're trying to find the truth and depose witnesses," the former Lost actor, 46, says in an interview airing Wednesday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
"I also find that it's just a little bit undignified to come out and respond to people who make allegations that are so outlandish, with just one person saying, 'You did this,' and you come back and say, 'No, I didn't.' "

"He took a breathalyzer voluntarily thinking nothing of it. He was surprised to know that he was over the limit. He learned a very important lesson from it all."

Nearly two months after his arrest for driving under the influence, Matthew Fox was back in jail – to have his mug shot taken.
At the time of his arrest May 4, the camera at the Deschutes County Adult Jail in Bend, Ore., was broken, TMZ.com reports. Under the judge's order, the Lost alum returned to take the photo June 29.
After he was charged with two misdemeanors – driving under the influence and driving without a license – Fox, 45, pleaded no contest on June 1 to one count of driving under the influence of intoxicants. If he successfully completes a court diversion program within a year, Fox will avoid jail time.
