Is that cat performing at New York's Shakespeare in the Park?
No, that would be a stretch. But what is literally a stretch is this British Shorthair jumping eight inches off the ground in desperate pursuit of a tortoiseshell butterfly in Denmark.
And lucky for 8-year-old Misha, her owner, and photographer, Kemal Selimovic was there to bear witness.

Move, er roll, over Penn Badgley: You may have the moves on your skateboard, but you're not the only one.
After training mice to surf, Australia resident Shane Willmott has now gone on to teach them to ride skateboards. If you take a peek into his Gold Coast backyard (more like skatepark!), you'll see the rad rodents tearing through air and even rings of fire on mouse-sized skateboards.
"They love it," Willmott told Today. "Mice are built to surf and skate because their center of gravity is so low.

Since its debut, Robin Thicke's summer anthem "Blurred Lines" has taken some serious heat due to its, um, hot nature. (Case in point: the uncensored music video was banned from YouTube because of its female nudity.)
But leave it to a group of dogs to really get the fur flying.
In The Pet Collective's parody, titled "Furred Lines," lyrics like "you're a good girl" gain entirely new meaning. (Watch the full video below.)

While we were busy grilling and posting Instagram video of fireworks in celebration of America's independence, Egyptians were posting pics of protests, as they demanded a more inclusive government. President Mohammad Morsi was eventually ousted – and the whole coup played out online.
Stateside, things online were much calmer – and cuter. Check out what happened this week.

No need to adjust your eyes, human – yes, this cat has a mustache.
Hamilton, the Internet-famous feline of California comic Jay Stowe, possesses a face full of gray hair, save for a small area around his mouth that is white and uncannily resembles the iconic handlebar mustache of artist Salvador Dalí.
Sometimes, Hamilton likes to play up his facial hair with a top hat and a monocle. Other times, he just wants to settle in for a cat nap. But either way, the furball's eye-catching accessory is always his best feature.

Even on the arm of beau George Clooney, Stacy Keibler manages to steal the spotlight (with her smile alone!).
But leave it to a dog to upstage the leggy blonde.
"I got #photobombed by a belly-flopping dog!" she wrote on Instagram, sharing a shot of the four-legged offender she met at the weekend's GoPro Mountain Games, a Colorado sporting event.

If a movie deal won't put a smile on Grumpy Cat's face, we don't know what will.
The feline Internet sensation (real name: Tardar Sauce) is teaming up with Broken Road Productions to star in a feature film similar in nature to Garfield, reports Deadline.
"Rare is an image that evokes that much comedy," said Todd Garner, Broken Road founder and producer, who will help bring Grumpy Cat to the big screen along with partner Sean Robins. "You read all of the memes and the comments, and one is funnier than the next. We think we can build a big family comedy around this character."

Dancing with the Stars may have just wrapped its 16th season, but the competition is just getting started: Are you ready for Dancing with the Lynx?
Our fantasy ballroom series would actually just feature this lynx showing off her Jagger-worthy moves to the tune of our enamored squees. (Can you hear us awww-ing from here?)

We thought we had seen it all when it comes to displeased, unsatisfied and generally non-smiley animals after we came face to face with Grumpy Cat.
But then we saw this cow.
We don't know why this Highland cow calf, Snowy (who we will affectionately call Grumpy Cow), is so angry. Born to two brown Highland cattle, Snowy's rare coat of fluffy white fur is something to smile about in itself. Perhaps the grass tasted a little bitter this particular day, or maybe Snowy's just a little bit upset about the demise of Robsten. (True love exists, we promise!)
