Forget the candy, parties and costumes – all we needed to see this Halloween is Bogart the maltipoo in this uh-mazing costume.
We can't get enough of this photo Allyson Busby (@MadeWithLove88) submitted to our weekly Twitter contest of her rescue pup dressed as the decorative planter.
"I don't think Bogart is too thrilled about being a Chia Pet," Busby wrote, and we can't say we disagree. Poor Bogart looks ready to leaves ... er ... leave.

Who let the dogs out – dressed like that?
That would be some of New York City's most creative dog owners with a vision and a simple mission: to have the best doggy Halloween costume. EVER.
The 23rd annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade included some of the funniest doggy get-ups we've seen to date, including a mysterious Barksy – a nod to British graffiti artist Banksy – and a furry pumpkin squeezed into a Starbucks cup (reminding us to imbibe the Pumpkin Spice Latte before they're taken off the menu for the season).
Here's a list of our favorite pooches, though we think all of the participants proved to be Best in Show.

It's a phenomenon we can't quite explain, but seems to still be going strong: pets behaving like Miley Cyrus.
And the latest entrant into that elite group is Tottie the pug – albeit with a twist. Instead of dressing as the "We Can't Stop" singer herself, Tottie is dressed as her most famous accessory of late: her wrecking ball. Playing the part of Cyrus in this scenario? A nude Barbie doll.

By now, midway through October, you've probably tasted your first pumpkin spice latte of the season (although that's more than we can say for this unhappy lion). The drink is as synonymous with the start of fall as sweaters, leaves and other things we learned from rom-coms.
But now, there's a way for you to enjoy the season with your pet.
Behold: the pugskin spice latte. Twitter user @singalittleflat crafted the ultimate (and caffeinated!) Halloween costume for her furry buddy, who dons the signature Starbucks lid as a cap and a cardboard recreation of its cup holder around its waist.
A Starbucks creation that's D.I.Y. and calorie-free? We'll take a venti.

If you've ever smiled really, really big when you walked into a movie theater and it had nothing to do with what you were there to see, then this bearcat totally gets you.
He's loving the smell of popcorn, too.
Bearcats, a.k.a. binturongs, naturally emit a scent reminiscent of buttery popcorn from their glands. And that's enough to bring a smile to Oliver Wolf's face.
The 2-month-old Staten Island Zoo resident knows no Oscar nominee or Ryan Gosling-lead rom-com can top his natural scent, which is used by the mammals to communicate.

After the week Norm's had, we can't say we blame him.
The orange-and-white haired cat is content to pass the time until Saturday by closing his eyes and wishing it would be here sooner, something a few of us probably wish we were doing, too.
But while our lives have probably been filled with the usual routine, things got a little crazy for Norm this past week.

This lemur may look cute and cuddly and otherwise harmless, but you've been warned: He's been practicing his t'ai chi.
Fur's going to fly if you get on his bad side, so we recommend you don't cancel any dinner plans at the last minute or forget to pay back that money you owe him.
No word on how long this Liverpool, England, resident has been practicing the martial art – or if he's actually just dancing around.

Is that cat performing at New York's Shakespeare in the Park?
No, that would be a stretch. But what is literally a stretch is this British Shorthair jumping eight inches off the ground in desperate pursuit of a tortoiseshell butterfly in Denmark.
And lucky for 8-year-old Misha, her owner, and photographer, Kemal Selimovic was there to bear witness.
