Matthew Sargent, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, took this video of his neighbor, who became a reluctant father to a brood of ducklings after their mother met an untimely demise. The ducklings imprinted on Sargent's neighbor; Sargent's daughter, Carlisle, uploaded the video to Reddit, and the rest is Internet history.

You know what they say: When it rains – or, likewise, when a Beluga whale sprays water at you – it pours.
This little guy learned that the hard way – not once, but twice – when he visited China's Hangzhou Polar Ocean Park in the country's Zhejiang province. (Watch the video above.) There, the youngster encountered the overzealous (or, perhaps, delightfully sassy) mammal. It was not very kind.
The real take-away here: Sometimes, life throws things your way, and it's not always pleasant.
