Mark Barden still cannot believe his son Daniel is no longer here to cuddle on snowy winter mornings or challenge him to foosball games before school.
"In those first few seconds when I'm awake, I still have to think, 'Was this whole thing just a horrible dream?' " he says. "I still find myself trying to comprehend it, as we all are."
Barden lost his 7-year-old son on Dec. 14, 2012, when 20-year-old Adam Lanza stormed into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., killing 20 first graders, including Daniel, and six educators before turning the gun on himself.

Two is an exciting age for children. By this stage of development, most toddlers are learning how to play with blocks, ride tricycles, and jump off of things. Or, if they're this amazing kid, they're making impossible basketball shots look ridiculously easy.
Two-year-old Titus Ashby originally came to the Internet's attention in February (almost half his lifetime ago) when the first video of his amazing trick shots gained more than 13 million views. Since then, little Titus has released several more videos, battled Kobe Bryant and been hit in the face on Fox & Friends. Ouch. (No worries, folks, he's fine.)

Just over four months into his marriage to Justin Mikita, Jesse Tyler Ferguson happily admits that he has yet to abandon that coveted honeymoon phase.
But like many newly married couples, the two are finding it increasingly hard to ignore the pitter-patter of just about any feet.
"We're baby crazy right now," the Modern Family star told PEOPLE while hosting the grand opening of the couple's Tie the Knot store at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles on Thursday.
"We see kids with families walking around, and if those parents look away for too long, someone has to hold us back to not steal them."

Playing a mom in her new film The Truth About Emanuel stirred up some maternal instincts for Jessica Biel.
"Every woman has some kind of intuition of how they'd interact with a child," she told PEOPLE at the Los Angeles premiere of the film on Wednesday.
"I feel comfortable around kids, so I was kind of rolling with that idea," the actress admits.
Wearing a two-piece lace skirt and cropped top by Giambattista Valli topped with a leather jacket, Biel, 31, – who married Justin Timberlake in a romantic Italian ceremony in October 2012 – says she's open to having kids of her own, but she hasn't put a deadline on it.

While Hollywood is in the midst of a baby boom, Octavia Spencer is one actress who doesn't have little ones on the brain.
"I should be married and have 19 kids," the Fruitvale Station star, 43, said Thursday during a roundtable discussion for The Hollywood Reporter's actresses issue. "And now I'm thinking my eggs are dying on the shelf. They're going to go past their expiration date. But it's what I chose, so I'm fine with that decision."

North West is growing up fast.
And her mom, Kim Kardashian, is keen on sharing her progress, posting a new photo of her daughter, seated on a green sofa, on Instagram Tuesday with a very simple caption: "LOL."
Since North's birth in June, Kardashian, 33, has offered up only a few glimpses of her sweet daughter, who turns 5-months old on Friday – far fewer than the sexy selfies the reality and fashion star has been fond of posting to social media to show off her successful post-baby weight loss.

The father of Bristol Palin's son is seeking at least equal custody.
Levi Johnston filed a petition for custody last month saying he wants 4-year-old Tripp to be in his mother's and father's lives equally.
The couple had agreed in 2010 that Palin would have primary physical custody and the two would share legal custody, according to Thomas Van Flein, Palin's attorney at that time. Johnston was given visitation and had agreed to pay child support.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick spent a romantic weekend in the Dominican Republic.
The couple escaped Los Angeles on Friday for a getaway to the newly opened Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa.
Upon arriving, the couple – who are parents to Mason, 3, and Penelope, 1 – "took a walk on the beach and then went swimming at the resort's swim-up bar," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "Kourtney wore a black one-piece bathing suit and mentioned in an interview that she was currently doing an ab contest with Khloé [Kardashian Odom] so they can get back in two-piece suits and wear crop tops to an upcoming Beyoncé concert."

Pink isn't spinning her wheels on what critics think about her parenting skills.
The singer went on a pointed Twitter rant Monday after detractors blasted her for allowing her 2-year-old daughter, Willow, to go on a motorcycle ride with dad Carey Hart, who posted snapshots of the joyride on Instagram.
She's got some solid support: PEOPLE readers have rallied behind the 34-year-old singer, with many dismissing Pink's critics as nothing more than naysayers who shouldn't be meddling into other parents' affairs.
