Patrick Swayze's wife of 34 years, Lisa Niemi, was by his side throughout his battle with cancer. And she was with him again Wednesday, striking a very familiar pose at Madame Tussauds wax museum in Hollywood.
Niemi, 55, unveiled a new wax statue of her late husband, and joined him in balancing on a log over an imaginary lake – recreating the famous scene from Dirty Dancing when Swayze teaches Jennifer Grey's character the importance of balance in dance.
Two years after his death, Niemi said she was honored to unveil the statue. "It became clear to me that someone had put a lot of love into this, for a man I loved so very much," she said.

The 25-year-old soccer star will be competing in this year's World Cup, which starts June 12 in South Africa.
Ronaldo is joining the ranks of other sports stars like David Beckham and Lance Armstrong, who also have wax doubles displayed in the London museum.

Originally posted 04/10/2009 10:45AM
Jade Goody has died but she certainly won't be forgotten. Next up for the late British reality star is a possible place in London's premier wax museum.
"As far as we know the people at Madame Tussauds are thinking about it," Goody's rep, Max Clifford, confirms to PEOPLE. "Although there have been reports that it was Jade's dying wish to be immortalized in wax, that's not true. But Jade would have loved to know she made it into the museum, and her family would be delighted too."
A rep for Madame Tussauds did not return calls.
