Miss USA lost hosts Cheryl Burke and Thomas Roberts following co-owner Donald Trump's controversial stance on immigration – but one host vows to stay with the pageant.

PEOPLE has exclusively learned that Jeannie Mai, who took issue with the real estate tycoon's comments, remains committed to the pageant's cause and will be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on July 12 as planned.

"While I absolutely do not condone Mr. Trump's statements, after careful deliberation I have decided to continue my role as co-host of the upcoming Miss USA Pageant," Mai, 36, says in a statement.

As if running for president of the United States of America wasn't enough, now Donald Trump has added a multimillion-dollar lawsuit to his 2015 to-do list.

Following the massive fallout from comments he made about Mexican immigrants during his candidacy announcement, Spanish-language network Univision quickly broke ties with Trump's Miss Universe Organization – followed by NBC and Macy's – leading the real estate tycoon to announce a $500 million lawsuit against Univision on Tuesday.

"We have a very strong lawsuit," Trump tells PEOPLE. "We had a binding contract that they illegally broke."

Miss Colombia Paulina Vega Wins Miss Universe

Which international beauty took home this year's Miss Universe crown?

That would be the lovely Miss Colombia, Paulina Vega.

Vega stole the judges' hearts at the 63td annual pageant in Miami – which aired on NBC on Sunday night – beating out 88 other contestants, including finalists from Jamaica, Netherlands, Ukraine and Miss USA, Nia Sanchez, who was first runner up.

Vega, 22, hails from Barranquilla and is currently a business administration major at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota.
