Three years after her estranged husband's suicide, Taylor Armstrong is remarried and ready to return as a guest star on Real Housewives – though the tragedy still lingers over her and her daughter.

"I don't know if you ever move on from suicide," Armstrong, 43, tells PEOPLE while attending the Marjaree Mason Center's 31st Annual Top Ten Professional Women and Top Business Awards Luncheon as a keynote speaker. "It's something that I'll always have questions about, but for my daughter's sake, I can't dwell on the past. I have to look to the future, and I do bring up her father. Matthew Fox stayed quiet last year following allegations that he hit a woman partly because it was a criminal case, but also because he didn't want to give the claims any legitimacy by addressing them.

"When you're involved in a criminal and a civil case, you're advised not to speak about these things, because they're trying to find the truth and depose witnesses," the former Lost actor, 46, says in an interview airing Wednesday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I also find that it's just a little bit undignified to come out and respond to people who make allegations that are so outlandish, with just one person saying, 'You did this,' and you come back and say, 'No, I didn't.' "

Maloof, 51, claims that Nassif, 50, with whom she is locked in a bitter divorce and custody battle, turned around and choked one of the boys for being rowdy on a drive last Thursday, TMZ.com reported.
