The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are both ready for the sleepless nights that come along with a newborn baby – but differ on whether they want a daughter or a son.
While handing out symbolic shamrocks to members of the Irish Guards at the annual St. Patrick's Day ceremony in Aldershot, Kate revealed that while she'd like to have a boy, Prince William would prefer a girl.
As she met members of the regiment of which William, 30, is ceremonial colonel, she said she was ready to be a mom but is undecided on a name for the couple's baby.

The pitter-patter of little feet may sound more like a stampede at a Duggar get-together – and this summer the volume is due to increase.
The famously fertile family of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting have another baby on the way. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's oldest child, Josh, and his wife, Anna, tell PEOPLE they are expecting their third child.
They are already parents to daughter Mackynzie, 3, and son Michael, 21 months.
"It is very exciting," says Josh, 25. "It's fun for Michael and Mackynzie being so close in age and this baby will be, too. We feel very blessed and happy."

Heading to a photo shoot in L.A., Kardashian was snapped in peplum-waist-lined pants and a tight, black top. We suggested she make herself more comfy by taking the maternity wear route – a la the Duchess of Cambridge.
Some readers complimented the reality starlet on her beauty and suggested she'd still look just as good in clothes made specifically for pregnant women.

Expectant parents Fergie and Josh Duhamel stepped out in Austin, Texas, on Friday, following the South By Southwest Film Festival's premiere of his movie, Scenic Route.
At the private after-party, hosted by The Branding Bee on the city's famed Sixth Street, the pair munched on beef sliders, jalapeño poppers and quesadillas as they held court in a secluded corner of the room, mingling with reps from the film's production company.

The wait finally ended for more than 1,000 cheering fans Tuesday, as the Duchess of Cambridge, wearing a brown coat by Hobbs, stepped out in fog-bound Grimsby, a fishing port 180 miles north of London – some 80 minutes late after the clouds held up her helicopter.
As the mother-to-be, 31, was greeted by dignitaries at the National Heritage Fishing Center, an impatient crowd cried out, "We want Kate."
Turning around, the Duchess obliged them with a wave before continuing with her duties.

A pregnant and glowing Duchess of Cambridge stayed on the ski slope sidelines in Switzerland on Sunday, a day after she and Prince William attended the wedding of friends.
Kate, dressed in boots, tights and a loose-fitting black and white dotted top – with a small sign of a baby bump – was accompanied by her bodyguards on a mountain walk in the sunshine after enjoying a post-wedding brunch.
Meanwhile, William and Harry, who also attended the wedding of polo pal Mark Tomlinson and Olympic gold medalist equestrian Laura Bechtolsheimer on Saturday, hit the slopes at the Arosa ski resort where the wedding was held.

Josh Duhamel might be ready to take on daddy duties, but that doesn't mean he's forgotten how to work a red carpet.
The Safe Haven star stepped out on Tuesday to celebrate his Moves magazine cover at TOY Restaurant in New York City.
After "glowing" while speaking to photographers, Duhamel had a low-key evening, an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "He sat in a corner of the restaurant and enjoyed dinner."
At his table: several sushi rolls, shrimp toast cigars, tuna toro and mahogany chicken.

Unlike many other famous moms-to-be, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks doesn't consider her pregnancy as an excuse to overindulge.
"Some people subscribe to the myth, 'I'm eating for two people,' " Parks tells PEOPLE.
"Well, not really. The other person is half of a pound. I wouldn't really count that as an individual. It's obviously a living organism, but something weighing 7 lbs. doesn't really allow you to eat two meals. Doctors say you only need an additional 500 calories."
Parks – who already has a son Ayden, 2, with her husband Apollo Nida – doesn't find it difficult to remain a healthy weight while pregnant.

While heading to the gym on Wednesday, an expectant Jessica Simpson was photographed in Los Angeles wearing a form-fitting black top that showed off her growing belly.
Shielded by sunglasses, Simpson, 32, looked relaxed in comfy green sweatpants and her hair up in a high ponytail.
The Weight Watchers spokeswoman is expecting her second child with fiancé Eric Johnson. The couple are already parents to 9-month-old daughter, Maxwell Drew.

Channing Tatum: I May Need Diaper Lessons

First time dad-to-be Channing Tatum is already in baby mode – studying books and watching documentaries.
But there's one thing he's still lacking: mastering the art of diapering.
"I have never changed a diaper before, so I may need some help learning," Tatum, 32, told PEOPLE at Thursday's New York premiere of his new movie Side Effects, presented by the Cinema Society and Michael Kors.
"I don't have friends who have kids, so it's going to be an interesting experience to learn how to change a diaper. I hope I don't have any problems where the diaper falls off and the baby [poops] on the ground," said PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive, whose baby with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum, 32, is due this summer.
