A 6-foot-4-inch cow owned by an Illinois woman was recently dubbed the world's tallest.
Patty Hanson and Blosom the cow smiled for their official Guinness World Records photo shoot on Monday.
Hanson received an email in mid-August saying Blosom had been named the world's tallest cow. She sought the record after veterinarians and the cow's foot trimmer constantly noted the 2,000-lb. animal's large size, Hanson said.

Animal control officer Wanda Snell knows what she saw: A veterinarian inserted a needle into the black-and-brown mutt and injected a chemical meant to euthanize the dog no one had adopted. The animal moved a bit and was still and quiet by the time she left the shelter for home.
What Snell can't explain is how or why a mixed-breed dog that nobody wanted recovered overnight and has since bounced back fully from what should have been a lethal injection.

She may not be on any official best dressed lists, but we'd take style advice from this kangaroo any day.
Boomeroo – who was adopted by Virginia resident Julia Heckathorn at just 3 weeks old – boasts an entire wardrobe of human clothing. Among the duds filling her closet: shirts, sweaters and dresses, all purchased from baby shops.
"When we first got Boomeroo, she was wearing a little shirt, and she's worn clothes ever since," Heckathorn, 28, told the U.K.'s Daily Mail. "She loves her tops, and when I have to take her top off to clean it, she puts her arms out and waits for me to dress her again."
