When Dylan Spoering threw a concert in his Minneapolis neighborhood on July 12, he had no idea of the audience he would end up playing for.
The eight-year-old posted handmade fliers on his front lawn, advertising a "free piano concert," complete with a helpful smiley face.
While passing by on his bike, local musician Thomas Rehbein noticed the sign and decided to do something nice for the boy, whom he had never met. He created a public Facebook event and encouraged his friends to join him in listening to the elementary-schooler tickle the ivories.
"Wouldn't it be cool if a bunch of people showed up to his free concert?" Rehbein wrote on the event page.

It's been 30 years since Prince – in the infamous words/lyrics of Kanye West – was "on Apollonia," and on Saturday night, the duo marked the occasion with a private concert at Paisley Park, Prince's Minneapolis compound.
In her first visit to the mansion/studio space, Prince's 1980s muse had a front-row seat as her former onscreen paramour celebrated the 30th anniversary of both the album and the film Purple Rain with an eight-song set.

The father of the 9-year-old Minnesota boy who last week stowed away on a Delta flight from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Las Vegas admits that the boy needs help.
"I don't have an angel, okay? I have a 9-year-old," the father told CNN affiliate WCCO. "To me, he's got a behavioral problem."
The father, who asked not to be identified (because of the boy's age, the young stowaway also has not been named publicly), told the TV station that the family has been unsuccessfully trying to get help for his son for years.
Earlier it was reported that the boy has a history of sneaking into a local waterpark and that he recently stole and crashed a vehicle.
"I miss my son," the father said of the boy who reportedly is still being held by child welfare authorities in Las Vegas. "I love my son."

While airport and airline officials continue to gather information in the mystery of how a 9-year-old boy successfully evaded security and stowed away on a Minneapolis-to-Las Vegas Delta flight last week, new details about the young passenger are emerging.
The boy – who, because of his age, is not being identified by name – is no stranger to trouble, reports radio station KFGO AM, which says he's broken into a waterpark without buying a ticket.
Last week, says the station, he was arrested for driving on I-35 in a stolen car.
