Katy Perry & James Van Der Beek Celebrate Their 'Chic' Pal

A purple-haired Katy Perry and proud papa James Van Der Beek made their way to Santa Monica, Calif., over the weekend for their jewelry designer pal Markus Molinari's birthday party at new spot SHOREbar.
At the bash, hosted by the venue's owner John Terzian, Perry "was in such an amazing mood," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "She liked a drink called the JoJo, and was really happy to be with her friends."
At one point, Van Der Beek – who was there with wife Kimberly – and Perry made a toast to their mutual friend and "told him how chic he is," the source says.
Chord Overstreet was also present during the celebration.

Jonah Hill Hits a Block Party in West Hollywood

Jonah Hill seemed to enjoy his sunny Sunday afternoon at the 2nd Annual Hudson Block Party in West Hollywood.
Joining about 8,000 other partygoers, the 21 Jump Street star casually walked around the event with a beer and an unidentifiable male friend.
Guests at the fête – which lasted 12 hours – were treated to music by Brooklyn-based indie band White Rabbits, and more than 20 other musical acts and deejays throughout the day.

Mariah Carey Parties Until 2 a.m. at West Hollywood Gay Bar!

Already celebrating because of President Obama's announcement in support of same-sex marriage, the crowd at The Abbey Food and Bar in West Hollywood was in for an even bigger treat when Mariah Carey showed up out of the blue Wednesday night.
"There was no formal announcement that she arrived at the club, but she and her friend B. Scott held court at one of the main dance floor tables – so she was very visible," a partygoer tells PEOPLE of the singer, who recently renewed her vows in Paris. "She was very nice and gracious."
In honor of Carey's appearance, the deejay started playing her songs, which caused the ladies on the dance floor to "go crazy," the source says.
Even though the pop diva, who stuck around until 2 a.m. and took some shots of Beluga vodka, kindly posed for pictures with many people at the club, the insider explains, "A security guard had to stay by her booth to control her fans."

Lindsay and Ali Lohan's Chain-Smoking Sisters' Night Out

Lindsay Lohan was all dolled up on Tuesday night when she arrived to her usual table at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.
With sister Ali in tow, Lindsay sported a black dress, sky-high heels and a sparkly coat at her regular haunt when the gals arrived at around 11 p.m..
"Lindsay chain-smoked and typed on her phone," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "She [later] moved tables to join a couple who were having wine. She began chatting with them and became more involved in the conversation."
Meanwhile, Lindsay wasn't the only Lohan puffing away.
"Ali was bouncing around tables and going to the bathroom and smoking outside by the valet," the source says. "She looked very thin and seemed to be acting much older than her actual age."

Charlize Theron took a break from new mommy duties on Thursday night to catch up with her pregnant pal Reese Witherspoon.
The Academy Award-winning actresses took in some girl talk over dinner at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, where the two "genuinely [appeared] to have fun with one another," an onlooker tells PEOPLE, adding that Theron sipped on wine, while expectant Witherspoon drank sparkling water.

Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert's Tex-Mex Double Date

Following a taping of The Voice on Tuesday night, Blake Shelton headed from the show's studio in Burbank, Calif., all the way to the other side of town in West Hollywood for some Tex-Mex at popular eatery Marix.
Joined by his wife Miranda Lambert and another couple, the group "shared a lot of laughs and enjoyed Taco Tuesdays," an onlooker tells PEOPLE, adding that they left shortly before 10:30 p.m.

Jessica Biel Shows Off a Sparkling Engagement Ring at Chateau Marmont

She may not have been photographed sporting it yet yet, but Jessica Biel was showing off her sparkly engagement ring on the patio at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont while hanging out with a friend.
According to an onlooker, the sparkler was glittering in the sunlight – and it was a large, round rock. The actress was dressed comfortably in a gray blazer, black shorts and a rose-colored blouse. Biel sipped on a coffee and chatted up her friend – a bearded guy in a red plaid shirt and black-framed glasses.
Says the onlooker: "She looked really lovely, polished, calm and happy."
The two enjoyed each other's company for over an hour, never leaving their table and mostly keeping to themselves.

Johnny Depp Rocks Out with Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen

Following their closing performance at Sunday night's Grammy Awards, Sir Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen made their way to the Foo Fighters' after-party at Fig & Olive Melrose Place. No sooner did they get there than Johnny Depp arrived and grabbed a glass of wine and a seat in the lounge, cordially greeting friends and fans.
At one point, McCartney approached Depp and mimicked his signature Pirates of the Caribbean Captain Jack Sparrow walk – which resulted in lots of laughter. Depp then joined the former Beatle and his wife for dinner; McCartney, a vegetarian, stuck to dishes like the spaghetti Mediterraneano and vegetarian paella. By the end of the evening, fast friends McCartney, Springsteen and Depp were seen discussing the night's big awards and all the winners.

Rihanna Is Rock Star of Roc Nation Brunch

Grammy nominees Rihanna and Katy Perry upped the glam factor for Roc Nation/Nokia's annual pre-Grammy brunch at Soho House West Hollywood Saturday afternoon.
A slender Rihanna turned heads in her corset and pants, while Perry could not be missed with her bright blue hair, which matched her dress.
Also there to celebrate Grammy weekend was Ellen Pompeo and her music-exec husband Chris Ivery; Nicole Richie, who shared a moment with The X Factor's L.A. Reid as he made his rounds; and Sam Ronson and Rashida Jones, who chatted and ate in the packed sunlit back room. Other talent mingling included Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Corinne Bailey Rae, Ne-Yo and Christina Milian.
Jay-Z may not have been present, but plenty of partygoers were rocking blue accessories – in "silent respect," one was overheard saying – for his newborn daughter, Blue Ivy.
