Leonardo DiCaprio may have lost the Golden Globe for his role in Django Unchained, but that didn't stop the actor from enjoying himself a few nights later.
Alongside best friend Lukas Haas, DiCaprio visited West Hollywood hot spot Bootsy Bellows on Tuesday night.
Donning a newsboy hat, DiCaprio mingled with club promoters, while Haas did "his own thing," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "Leo hung back and sat on top of the banquette. He was getting a ton of attention from the ladies."
The usually quiet DiCaprio was "upbeat" and "even danced and clapped along" as music from Jay-Z and Kanye West played. And when the actor was approached by other clubgoers, he was "very gracious and chatted with them for a few minutes," the source adds.
Once the lights came on, the two friends reconvened to figure out their plans for the rest of the night.

Sean Lowe, you've got competition in the rose-giving department!
After Sunday's Golden Globes, West Hollywood's Soho House hosted a private afterparty, where co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler celebrated being the first female duo to ever host a major awards show.
Around midnight, the party began to move from the main bar to the outside bar. There, Robert Pattinson "held court and joked around with Tina Fey," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "He presented her with a red rose."

Krysten Ritter got into the Golden Globes spirit a little early.
The Don't Trust the B---- star made her way to Nine Zero One salon in West Hollywood for some VIP hair and beauty treatment before heading to a chic pre-Globes event on Saturday.
Starting with her hair at the shop's Colgate Optic White Beauty Bar, co-sponsored by Joico, the actress opted for a "braided up-do to show off her gown that evening," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "After seeing a photo of her good friend Nina Dobrev, Krysten asked for a copycat look."
When it came time for beauty, Ritter went for something much more subtle, requesting a look that was "au naturel," the observer says.
Ritter, who the source says "was in a really good mood and excited about the night," chatted with a fellow salon-goer about surfing and snowboarding.

Alyssa Milano's husband wanted to give her the prom she never had – and boy, did he deliver.
For the actress's 40th birthday, her hubby David Bugliari and best friend Alaa Khaled threw her a '90s prom-themed surprise party at the London Hotel in West Hollywood. About 200 friends and family members showed up, including Milano's parents, who were celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary that evening – and used their made-up celebratory dinner plans as a way to get the actress to the hotel.
"When Alyssa walked into the ballroom, she fell to the ground in utter shock," Khaled tells PEOPLE.
Celebrity event planner Nicole Hirsty, of Cobalt Events, helped design the party, which featured a theme ("Starry Night"), passed snacks like sliders, French fries and onion rings, and a taco bar. For dessert, guests were treated to cake pops, macarons, custom cookies and, of course, birthday cake.
Once Milano got over her initial shock, she was whisked to a room where she got to pick from some '90s prom dresses selected by Roemehl Hawkins, the costume designer on her upcoming show, Mistresses. She (and the rest of her guests) received corsages from Butterfly Florals, as well.
During the party, guests snapped pics in a photo booth from Bearded Babushka, and danced to '80s and '90s tunes spun by DJ Vicious Lee. But for as much fun as the partygoers had, it was Milano who had the best time of all.
"Seeing the look of surprise and excitement on her face was a moment I'll never forget," Bugliari says proudly. – Julie Jordan

Oh, what a night!
New mom Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi enjoyed a night out without baby Lorenzo Tuesday, linking up with Jersey Shore costar Deena Cortese to toast the end of their show at West Hollywood hotspot Bootsy Bellows. But the ladies had some random company, in the form of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards and her friend, Faye Resnick.
The foursome – there with a few other pals – arrived around 11:50 p.m. and went to the club's VIP room before hitting the dance floor – hard. The group busted moves to songs like James Brown's "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine" and Jackson 5's "I Want You Back" while sipping vodka cocktails (Richards abstained from alcohol).
Once Cortese spotted club owner David Arquette, she told him, "You need to take a picture with the two meatballs. You're the sausage!" So the actor obliged, posing for a shot with Cortese and Polizzi, later seeking them out to entertain them with his Keith Richards marionette.
Resnick and Richards left around 12:30 a.m., at which time Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough came over to the Jersey Shore stars to say hello – just as Cortese took a tumble backward and broke a few glasses at her table.
At 1 a.m., Cortese and Polizzi left the VIP room and headed for the main part of the club to enjoy some house music, and ran into Glee star Amber Riley, who joined them at a table for a bit.
Meanwhile, Julianne Hough arrived around 1:15 a.m. (sans boyfriend Ryan Seacrest) and immediately hit the dance floor, grooving to the Spice Girls's "Wannabe" and AC/DC's "Back in Black." But when the DJ spun Dion's classic "Runaround Sue," Derek joined Julianne on the dance floor and the two broke out into a full-on choreographed routine. The dance floor cleared as people cheered them on – especially when Derek fell into the splits (more than once!). Julianne left not long after, around 1:40 a.m., and Cortese and Polizzi slipped out a few minutes (and cocktails) later. – Jennifer Garcia

With his Twilight duties behind him, Robert Pattinson enjoyed a night out with a male pal on Tuesday. The two met up at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont, where Pattinson grabbed a table and sipped on a Stella.
Not long after their arrival, though, the men were joined by a group of friends – including singer M.I.A., who capped off her signature eclectic look with an oversized hat.
Pattinson, in a jacket (but not his usual baseball cap), "looked happy and relaxed," a source tells PEOPLE. Though he frequently left his pals for breaks on the smoking patio, "he only paid attention to his guy friends, laughing and letting loose a little bit," the source continues. After about an hour, the whole party said goodbye and left the venue. – Jennifer Garcia

Hanks a lot!
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson enjoyed a live performance of Room 105 – The Highs and Lows of Janis Joplin at the MACHA Theater in West Hollywood on Sunday.
Sporting a mustache, Hanks and Wilson entered the theater from the parking lot side entrance just before the show began, avoiding the lobby, an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
The couple then took their seats – stopping to chat with the older couple sitting behind them.
"Wilson clapped vigorously after each song but Hanks was much more reserved with his applause," the source adds. "There was no hand holding or major interaction between the two during the show."
But "both took part in the standing ovation" and as the couple left the theater, an elderly woman told Hanks "I love you." "He gave her a hug and spoke with her briefly before leaving," the source says.

Brody Jenner is a football fanatic!
The former Hills star enjoyed an egg dish and sipped on a light beer while watching some football at Barney's Beanery in West Hollywood on Sunday.
"Brody seemed very passionate about the games," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "He was sitting at the bar, chatting with two middle-aged men. His phone was face down, he didn't seem to care about much else than the game."
While Jenner has kept a low profile since his involvement on the MTV reality show that made him famous, he makes the occasional appearance on his step-siblings' show Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
"He seemed to go unrecognized and was growing a bit of facial hair. He seemed in a good mood and very low-key," the source adds.
