It's a sub-freezing February afternoon in Nashville and Miranda Lambert has just slipped into a $9,000 strapless silk chiffon gown. In a minute, she'll brave the cold to step outside in front of a waiting camera, but at the moment, she's poking fun at the decadence of couture: "This is what famous people do – lounge around in gowns all day!" she jokes.

Everything in country is big, from the hair to the trucks to the personalities. It's no surprise, then, that on country's biggest night, the good times kept rolling even after hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley delivered their final punch lines at Wednesday's CMA Awards.
So how did Nashville's finest celebrate when they filed out of Bridgestone Arena?
Country heavyweights like Pinnacle Award winner Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw (who both earned accolades for their hit "Highway Don't Care") partied with their industry peers – including James Young, Mike Eli, Jon Jones, Brantley Gilbert, Chris Thompson, Jay DeMarcus, Reid Perry, Neil Perry, Kimberly Perry, Scott Borchetta, Danielle Bradbery, Cassadee Pope, RaeLynn and Laura Bell Bundy – at Big Machine Label Group's CMAs afterparty (pictured above).

It's not every awards show where the ratio of cowboy hats per head outnumbers, well, everything else. Throw in a lot of boots and big hair and songs referencing various types of automobiles, and we reckon your Honky Tonk Badonkadonk's definitely at the CMA Awards.

Country music fans know that the CMA Awards are more than an awards show – they're also a great concert!
With performances from the biggest names in country, like Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Kasey Musgraves, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum and Tim McGraw, just to name a few, the three-hour extravaganza showcased what's currently topping the charts.

The CMAs in Nashville had viewers seeing stars, but unlike in years past, there wasn't one specific standout.
All the regulars – Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban and hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley – were in town for country's biggest night, but some of the genre's heaviest hitters walked away uncharacteristically empty-handed.
Meanwhile, duo Florida Georgia Line, one of the newer acts over the last few years, walked away with two awards: single of the year for "Cruise" and vocal duo of the year.
