Originally posted 01/14/2013 06:30PM
Between a car accident that left her with lasting injuries and announcing plans to divorce, Mayim Bialik's strength was really put to the test in 2012.
"When you've had a 2012 like me, things can only get better," she told PEOPLE on Sunday at the Golden Globe Awards. "That's the glass half-full."
Judaism has helped get her through the tough times.
"I'm a person of deep religious faith," the Terani-clad actress, 37, explained. "I really believe that things will be right in the universe. Things are hard, but I've really been taught in my tradition that the harder things are, the greater the potential reward. I really believe that."

Just bust a move!
At the 14th Annual Warner Bros. and InStyle Golden Globes afterparty on Sunday, The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco was anything but shy on the dance floor.
After running over to Hayden Panettiere, the People's Choice Awards host looked the Nashville star up and down and exclaimed, "Gorgeous! Gorgeous!" about her blush, tiered strapless gown, an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
Grabbing each other's hands, Cuoco and Panettiere were engulfed in "animated conversation," but things got even more fun once the deejay played Madonna's "Like a Prayer."

What better way to silence the rumor mill than to step out together looking happy – and hot!
Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom appeared very much in love on the red carpet during the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night.
Kerr, 29, and Bloom, 36, whose marital status has been the subject of persistent questioning in recent weeks, were photographed donning big grins and holding hands. Bloom was dapper in a blue Burberry suit and white shirt, while Kerr wore a sexy red Zuhair Murad dress, showing a lot of leg.
Tina Fey, Amy Poehler Wear Disguises as Fake Golden Globe Nominees (VIDEO)

As if being co-hosts and nominees at the Golden Globes weren't enough, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler amusingly added fake nominees to their job duties on Sunday.
The former Saturday Night Live castmates – nominated for best actress in a TV comedy, which was won by Lena Dunham of HBO's Girls – crashed the categories of best actor and actress in a TV movie or miniseries, putting on loony disguises and sneaking in as nominees for a fairly bizarre-sounding film called Dog President.
Poehler, sporting red hair and buck teeth, was introduced as actress Darcy St. Fudge, "a psychic who solves her own murder." Fey popped up in the actor category as Damian Francisco, "a professional volleyball player battling restless-leg syndrome."

Originally posted 01/13/2013 08:45PM
Tiny Fey and Amy Poehler got lots of love from the Golden Globe Awards crowd on Sunday, but didn't shy away from a few stinging lines.
Among the best, halfway through the show, was a zinger directed at Taylor Swift, who was attending as a nominee for best original song.
"You know what, Taylor Swift, you stay away from Michael J. Fox's son," Fey said, referring to Sam Michael Fox, who is this year's Mr. Golden Globe. "Or go for it!" Poehler added.
"She needs some me time to learn about herself!" Fey added bitingly, referring to Swift's long line of boyfriends.

Fashion wasn't the only hot topic on the red carpet at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards.
From Claire Danes talking about being a new mom to Julia Louis-Dreyfus accepting a 52nd birthday present, nothing was off limits.
Danes – who welcomed son Cyrus with husband Hugh Dancy in December – looked flawless in a red Versace gown, but beamed most when speaking about her new addition (upstairs at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with his grandparents). "I've been in baby world," she told Ryan Seacrest. "I'm hoping I don't leak!"
