Will last year's Emmy darlings Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen take home his and hers awards once again this year? Root for your favorites while sipping on the very same cocktail the stars will be toasting with at the Governors Ball.
To set the Emmy mood at home, Cheryl Cecchetto (of Sequoia Productions) suggests decorating with red tablecloths, roses and candles to go along with this year's official red theme. For snacks, try serving appetizers inspired by your favorite shows (30 Rock shrimp quesadillas or Boardwalk Empire cookies.)
Either way, the bright-red Emmy-appropriate cocktail, featuring Grey Goose Cherry Noir, is sure to be a hit whether you're rooting for Mad Men or Modern Family.

If you ask why I am crying, it's because Madeleine Stowe, star of ABC's Revenge, is not among the Emmy nominees. In fact, I am crying just as she would: My eyes are ringed with big, ready-to-drop tears of wrath and sorrow.
Otherwise, the latest batch of nominees is pretty satisfying.
It's great to see Lena Dunham and her fantastic HBO comedy Girls up for best actress and show. (But nothing for the supporting cast?) Dunham, who plays a smart, funny, self-absorbed young writer, is running against her comic antithesis: Zooey Deschanel of FOX's New Girl, on which she plays (and plays very well) a cupcake.

Winning an Emmy isn't as easy as it looks.
In this video spoof (watch below), Parker Posey plays an acting coach named Ja,n (it stands for Just Act, Naturally) who for a fee will teach you how to give a victory speech – and how to avoid looking like you have egg on your face when you lose.
Her Method acting process: She throws actual eggs on the students' faces. Check it out.

Just days after she was involved in a serious car accident, Mayim Bialik made her return to the red carpet on Monday.
Bialik stepped out in a curve hugging gray Tadashi Shoji dress at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Performers Peer Group Reception in Universal City, Calif.
The Big Bang Theory actress, 36, who suffered a severe injury to her right thumb, tells PEOPLE her Emmy preparations are still underway, despite her injury.
"We had already planned on a long sleeve dress. I'm a modest dresser anyway. There are not many dresses that cover your fingertips though so it might take a little of expanding the fabric, trying to get this contraption in a sleek black," she says of the splint she has to wear as a result of the accident.

If Thursday's announcement of the Emmy Awards nominations is any indication, TV fans will be laughing out loud when the show, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, airs live Sept. 23.
That's because Kimmel, who replaced Nick Offerman late Wednesday night, was a hoot while delivering the news alongside Scandal star Kerry Washington. She stepped up to the podium at the Television Academy's Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in Los Angeles in a pretty white, flowered top with her hair slicked back. Kimmel, on the other hand, was disheveled in lavender pajamas.
Here are the Emmy host's best lines:

The men are still mad, breaking is still bad – and announcer Jimmy Kimmel isn't ashamed to let you see him in his pajamas. So it went as the 64th annual Primetime Emmy nominations were revealed early Thursday morning.
When the dust settled, not only was Kimmel himself nominated for hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live, but Mad Men and American Horror Story led the pack – with 17 nominations each.
The race is also on between top dramatic series lead actor contenders Jon Hamm, for Mad Men, and Bryan Cranston, for Breaking Bad – while both of their shows are also in the running for best dramatic series, along with Boardwalk Empire, Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones and Homeland.
The other actor nominees are Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey); Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire); Michael C. Hall (Dexter); and Damian Lewis (Homeland).
