It's a royal baby!
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her husband, Prince Daniel, welcomed a baby girl on Thursday – an infant who will one day be queen.
"The Crown Princess feels radiant, she is so happy," Daniel told reporters at the hospital, the Stockholm News reports. "Both the little daughter and the Crown Princess are doing great."
The baby weighed 7 lbs., 3 oz. and was born at 4:26 a.m. local time at Stockholm's Karolinska Hospital. Her grandfather, King Carl Gustaf, is expected to announce her name on Friday.

A night on the town turned into a trip to the hospital for Monaco's Pierre Casiraghi, son of Princess Caroline.
While partying in Manhattan's trendy Meatpacking District on Saturday, the royal reportedly clashed with former club owner Adam Hock, who was charged with eight counts of third-degree assault for the alleged attacks on the prince and his entourage, the New York Post reports.
"Pierre's face looked broken, with deep cuts and blood everywhere," a witness said after the fight. "He looked like he needed plastic surgery."

Her husband may have been 7,500 miles away but the Duchess of Cambridge still received plenty of love on Valentine's Day.
William sent her a card and some flowers – and the people of Liverpool, England, added their bouquets and hugs on Tuesday.
During her 20-minute visit to Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Kate, in a chocolate brown overcoat by Hobbs and earrings by Niki McDonough, received flowers from onlookers and greeted (and hugged) some young admirers.
"She was brilliant," says Lyndsey Maclean, 36, whose daughter Katie, 9, also met the duchess. "You wouldn't think she hadn't been doing this for such a short time. She was friendly to everyone."

Sixty years and counting!
As Queen Elizabeth marks her Diamond Jubilee anniversary, she dedicated herself anew to continuing to serve fellow Britons and those around the world who count her as head of state.
Releasing a special set of portraits, taken by John Swannell in the Centre Room at Buckingham Palace in December 2011, Elizabeth, 85, sent a message indicating that while she has seen "great advances" since she took over at her father George VI's death on Feb. 6, 1952, she is looking forward to the future with a "clear head and warm heart."

For any newlywed, the first Christmas with the in-laws can be intense. Now imagine spending it with Queen Elizabeth.
That's exactly what Kate faces when she joins husband Prince William and his family at Sandringham House, about 110 miles north of London, for the holiday.
The pressures range from what to wear to what to give the family that has everything.
Even so, the festivities will kick off on Christmas Eve, when the presents are exchanged, following the German tradition started by Queen Victoria. As the Queen sips her usual gin and Dubonet, the younger royals will likely partake in the locally brewed cider or wine.
