Justin Bieber's arrest Thursday for DUI and drag-racing was irresistible fodder for TV's late-night talk-show hosts.
The combination of Bieber's alleged antics (blocking off a residential block in Miami beach to drag-race a rented Lamborghini) and public persona (not quite universally loved) was the equivalent of a slow pitch up the middle for our nation's monologists, and with a full workday to brainstorm their barbs, they did not disappoint.

An ugly family dispute between Casey Kasem's children and their stepmom over access to their ailing father appears to be largely over.
In a Los Angeles Superior Court hearing Friday, attorneys for Kasem's daughter, Julie, 38, told a judge that she was withdrawing her request for legal control of her father's healthcare as part of a confidential visitation agreement.
"It's been resolved," Julie's attorney Andrew Katzenstein told PEOPLE following the hearing. "We're glad the case was able to settle."
Charles Kreindler, an attorney for stepmom Jean Kasem, stated: "Jeannie is very happy that the court proceeding has been dismissed and that a settlement agreement has been reached with regard to visitation. Jeannie is about to celebrate her 34th anniversary with Casey tomorrow, and his care, dignity, well-being and happiness are of primary importance."

Duck Dynasty is down a star.
A&E, which airs the reality show that follows the duck-hunting and duck call-creating Robertson family, has suspended patriarch Phil Robertson indefinitely from filming following his anti-gay comments printed in GQ.
"We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson's comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty," says a statement from the network that was sent to PEOPLE. "His personal views in no way reflect those of A&E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely."

Brandi Glanville offered an apology of sorts for what some have called racist remarks she made to fellow Housewife Joyce Giraud on a Palm Springs road trip captured on Monday's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Glanville, calling in to Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live talk show on Monday, said her comments were "definitely inappropriate."
"It was definitely not sensitive and I apologize to anyone I offended," Glanville, 40, said by phone. "My friends and I joke with each other this way and they are from all different backgrounds so, I'm sorry. I guess TV is not ready for the real Brandi, but should I censor myself?"

A day after admitting in court that she had used cocaine and marijuana in the past, Nigella Lawson said Thursday that she was embarrassed but wanted to come clean about the drug use.
"I would rather be honest, if ashamed, and explain the drug usage, but I wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to be bullied [with] lies," the celebrity chef, 53, said at the fraud trial of two former assistants, according to the Telegraph.
"I am not proud of the fact that I have taken drugs, but that does not make me a drug addict or a habitual drug user," she added.

Nigella Lawson admitted to occasional drug use while testifying in the fraud trial against two former personal assistants in a West London courtroom Wednesday.
The celebrity chef, 53, said she had used cocaine a handful of times in her life, including when her late husband John Diamond was nearing the end of his life, as well in July 2010, when she said she was "subjected to intimate terrorism" by her now ex-husband Charles Saatchi.
She also admitted to smoking cannabis – at times, in front of her children – but denied being an addict.
