Hollywood is a town that runs on youth, but nobody told these senior citizens in Germany.
As part of a giveaway calendar, 19 residents at Contilla Retirement Group in Essen, Germany, recreated 12 famous scenes from the 20th century's greatest movies, including highbrow classics (Cabaret and Easy Rider) to enduring blockbusters (Dirty Dancing and The Blues Brothers).

We've already seen one bride and groom pay tribute to Star Wars by turning their first dance into a lightsaber duel.
Now check out another couple who used their wedding to demonstrate some movie-inspired moves.
Newlyweds Terra and Drake showed their guests that nobody puts baby in a corner when they reenacted the famous Dirty Dancing lift scene to Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes's "(I've Had) The Time of My Life."

Channing Tatum has some notable dance moves, but there's one he does with his pit bull, Lulu that might top them all.
"I can do the Dirty Dancing lift with my dog," was the first prompt Ellen DeGeneres gave Tatum in a "I Do/I Don't" game on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Thursday. Tatum replied, "I do."
Thankfully, the actor brought a clip of Lulu performing the lift with him. Watch to see the dancing duo in action, and wait for the loving ending – or as Tatum describes it, the "straight-up makeout session."

No one puts Baby in a corner ... but having another actress play her iconic role is A-O.K.
Jennifer Grey, who starred as Baby in the 1987 hit film, assured fans that she was fine with the upcoming remake of the film.
She told the Wall Street Journal through her publicist: "I'm so excited about this news and I think there's nobody better than my beloved Kenny Ortega who is as responsible as anyone for the success of the first one. I can't wait to see what he's going to do with it."

Patrick Swayze was a big softie. With performances in nearly three dozen movies in more than three decades, that was the secret behind his best work: his ability to convey, even when he was playing a tough guy, that beneath the glower his character was actually kind, sensitive and maybe even hurting.
His two most memorable roles, in 1987's Dirty Dancing and 1990's Ghost, both showcased his caring side. They were also his biggest box-office successes.
In Dancing, he made hearts flutter as a sexy, supportive dance instructor who, via the mambo and cha-cha, helps transform a teenage wallflower (Jennifer Grey) into a self-confident woman.
