The people of Taber, Canada, just want to cut footloose, but the law is standing in their way.

Kevin Bacon still knows how to kick off those Sunday shoes.
The actor stopped by The Tonight Show Friday night, where he gamely showed host Jimmy Fallon that he's lost none of his swing or swagger 30 years after he broke out in the classic hip-swiveling rebel yell Footloose.

Kenny Wormald is having the last laugh.
Once bullied for being a male dancer, the Footloose actor, 27, shows off his fancy footwork in one of the most anticipated movies of the season and recently performed a seductive number in front of millions on Dancing with the Stars with Julianne Hough.
"I used to get made fun of ... especially growing up in Boston," Wormald told Celebuzz. "Kids are terrible, they don't realize how heavy words can be."
Years later, his haters now kiss up to him.

There's no denying that Julianne Hough and her Footloose costar Kenny Wormald have chemistry.
But the dancing duo are nothing more than friends.
During the same week that they partied together in N.Y.C. and participated in a touchy-feely performance on Dancing with the Stars, reports surfaced that the talented twosome also made out.
"It's all completely untrue," Hough's publicist tells PEOPLE of the rumors.

How can something so pointless be so much fun?
This update of the '84 teen classic that gifted us with Kevin Bacon and a killer soundtrack has slicker dance moves but keeps the original's infectious spirit.
Big-screen newcomers Keny Wormald and Julianne Hough are compelling as Ren and Ariel, the rebel outsider and the minister's kid in a small town that outlaws rock music and dancing. She's the better actor, delivering in Ariel's tense standoffs with her dad, Rev. Moore (Dennis Quaid).
But they're both pro hoofers, so the dance scenes are fantastic, with everything from country line-dancing to krumping.

Julianne Hough is coming home.
It's now been more than two years since the dancer-turned-actress last competed on Dancing with the Stars. The pro, 23, who won the hearts of Dancing fans – not to mention two mirror ball trophies – left the show in 2009 to pursue her dream of a film career.
Julianne returns to the ballroom Tuesday night a bonafide movie star, thanks to her leading role in the soon-to-be-released remake of Footloose. And she will dance "on the very stage that basically started everything," she says.
"I definitely got a little emotional," she says about returning to the DWTS studio.
