First time dad-to-be Channing Tatum is already in baby mode – studying books and watching documentaries.
But there's one thing he's still lacking: mastering the art of diapering.
"I have never changed a diaper before, so I may need some help learning," Tatum, 32, told PEOPLE at Thursday's New York premiere of his new movie Side Effects, presented by the Cinema Society and Michael Kors.
"I don't have friends who have kids, so it's going to be an interesting experience to learn how to change a diaper. I hope I don't have any problems where the diaper falls off and the baby [poops] on the ground," said PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive, whose baby with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum, 32, is due this summer.

Say it ain't so, your hotness!
After a busy few years of work – including a sizzling stripper turn in Magic Mike – PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive says he's taking a hiatus from acting in 2013.
Channing Tatum, 32, who starred in five movies in 2012 alone, and has four more on deck for the year ahead, tells EW.com that he's not quitting acting but hopes to take some time away next year to work on directing projects with his production partner Reid Carolin, a screenwriter.

Seen a photo of a rail-thin Matthew McConaughey recently? The actor, who has significantly slimmed down for a new movie role, says there's nothing to worry about.
"I feel fine. I really do," McConaughey, 43, tells The Daily Beast in a new interview, noting that his regime to lose nearly 40 lbs. from his 183-lb. frame was healthy, disciplined and well thought-out.
Nevertheless, that hasn't quelled chatter over the meaty matter of his dramatic weight loss for Dallas Buyers Club, in which he plays the real-life Ron Woodruff, who contracted HIV.

Channing Tatum is taking more than one for the team.
Playing a male stripper in his new film Magic Mike, the actor, 32, embraced all that was necessary to prepare for the role – from working out three hours a day and sticking to strict dairy- and gluten-free diet, to rubbing on self-tanner every morning and waxing his legs.
"It was the most painful thing I'll ever do," he tells PEOPLE in this week's issue. "And it's something I'll never do again."

It sure worked for The Full Monty – taking the story of male strippers from the screen to the Broadway musical stage. So why not the new kid on the runaway, Magic Mike?
Apparently, that's the plan already in the works by Channing Tatum, whose own story loosely forms the basis for the new movie, and his screenwriter and producing partner Reid Carolin.
Furthermore, the movie's Alex Pettyfer, 22, says he would "absolutely" do the Broadway version. "I think we should all do the opening night," he tells USA Today about his fellow manscaped costars costars Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer.

Channing Tatum's male stripper film, Magic Mike, may not open until Friday – but some lucky fans in New York City got an early preview of the actor's moves Wednesday.
During an appearance on NBC's Today show to promote the movie, Tatum, 32, participated in a flash mob with a slew of backup dancers in Rockefeller Plaza, doing a choreographed routine to a slowed-down version of "It's Raining Men." (Watch video below!)
The impromptu performance seemingly forced hosts Ann Curry and Al Roker to quickly get out of the way of the troupe.

Joe Manganiello bares all for his role as a stripper in Magic Mike, opening next Friday. But even now that filming has ended, he's still not shy about stripping down – sort of.
Manganiello, 35, appeared on The Soup this week, donning a prosthetic beer gut.
"That's right, ladies," the True Blood star deadpanned. "Soak it in. The six-pack is here."

When Matthew McConaughey gets cheeky in his new movie, Magic Mike, rest assured, it's definitely him.
"That's all me up there," the actor tells the Advocate in a new interview of (mostly) baring it all in his striptease scene. "I don't need a stunt a––."
As for the exposure, the actor says he just wanted to go for it.
"I said, 'I gotta dance, man.' I would regret it for the rest of my life if I was in a male stripper movie and didn't get up there and strip myself," he says, noting that his big scene wasn't initially in the script. "At first it was scary as hell, but then it became like a drug and I couldn't wait to do it again."

For True Blood's Joe Manganiello, playing a stripper for the upcoming movie Magic Mike meant wearing a thong for the first time.
"I wore these little thongs that literally go up your butt, and it definitely takes getting used to," Manganiello, 35, told PEOPLE at the IWC Schaffhausen watch boutique opening in New York.
"It was uncomfortable at first. It sort of felt like a wedgie," he said, "but once you get into the routine of wearing one, you know what to do and you just do your thing. We all had to suffer a bit for our craft."
