Sure, everybody knows Carrie Bradshaw – Sarah Jessica Parker in the HBO phenom that kept Sunday nights ablaze from 1998 till 2004, then again in a movie that was hot and a sequel that was not.
Now headed for the small screen is The Carrie Diaries, based on the 2010 prequel by Sex author Candace Bushnell.
The pilot for the CW network will star AnnaSophia Robb, shown here for the first time in costume (designed by Sex and the City and Gossip Girl's Emmy-winning Eric Daman) as the young Carrie.

The women of Sex and the City may be getting older, but they've "never been better," according to the movie’s star Sarah Jessica Parker.
The 45-year-old actress reprises her role as writer Carrie Bradshaw in the sequel, due out in theaters May 27. She and costars Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall – who play Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha – didn't need to act like they were having fun on the set. They really were having fun.
"We four women, despite I guess what a lot of people hope, have never been better," Parker tells Vogue in its May issue. "This movie – and maybe it's because we actually lived together – it was the best! We were together all day long, at night, in restaurants, in our hotels. It was wonderful."

Sarah Jessica Parker has come down with a case of PTP – as in "protect the plot" – and the "disease" is spreading to her Sex and the City 2 costars.
"We hope we made a movie that lives up to expectations," Parker told PEOPLE at Las Vegas's ShoWest convention Thursday.
Joined by Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis (Kim Cattrall is working on a play in London), the three, who received the Ensemble Award, refused to give any spoilers about the highly anticipated movie that was filmed in the Moroccan desert.
"We've never laughed harder or talked more or spent more time together," Parker said, adding that the women rode camels in one scene, making for some hysterical outtakes.
"The camels were beautifully trained," she said. "Cynthia and Kristin were on one camel and they had the most grumpy, ornery camel. Ours was so sweet, but then out of nowhere our camel would sit. You have to understand, it's not like a bike and the bike fell over. It's a camel, and the camel would just sit. And when they sit, it's a little like an earthquake. We laughed so hard."
