With the same tenacious spirit that inspired Noah Calhoun to write Allie Hamilton a letter every day for a year (365 letters! "It wasn't over! It still isn't over!"), we're holding on to hope Ryan Gosling will have some form of involvement in the recently announced TV adaptation of The Notebook.
In addition to some serious Gosling screen time, there are many, many moments from Nicholas Sparks' heartbreaker we're hoping to see in the series, which The CW is developing based on the 1996 novel and 2004 sleeper hit film. (Sparks will serve as an executive producer on the project.) Spoiler alert: We are formally requesting lots and lots of tears.

[YOUTUBE "FUS_Q7FsfqU"] Imagine the best elements of The Notebook – a super-hot guy, a love story full of longing, a fiery heroine – but this version has gone country and this time, the hottie is Scott Eastwood.

From Westerns to war films, James Garner had a relaxed charisma all his own. As a POW, as a gunfighter, as a private eye, Garner wore his charm like an old sweater – it never went out of style, and it always fit.
In the wake of Garner's death Saturday at the age of 86, let's look back at seven of his most memorable roles, all of which showcase what critic Todd VanDerWerff calls Garner's rare ability to "make his essential James Garner-ness work in just about any situation."

There's no denying that Rachel McAdams is the current undisputed queen of romantic comedies. And with Friday's release of About Time, a time-traveling love story from the creator of Love Actually, her reign is set to continue.
But why has this brunette beauty so successfully cemented her place in all of our hearts? For starters, she's always one line away from having us bawling into our movie theater napkins, and that goes for anyone, whether you like your romances to come from novel adaptations or from the same duo that brought you The Internship. So before this weekend's dinner-and-a-movie meet-up, give her sweetest declarations a read, and feel free to pass them on to the Ryan Gosling in your life.

It was the setting of one of the most romantic recent movies – and now Boone Hall Plantation is the site of some real-life celebrity romance.
The historic South Carolina plantation, open to the public since 1956, hosted Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds hush-hush nuptials Sunday night.
The pair tied the knot on the site, just a few miles outside of downtown Charleston, S.C., which appeared prominently in 2004's romantic tear-jerker, The Notebook. (It doubled as the Hamilton's beach house, according to IMDB.)
