The Princess Bride as a play? Inconceivable!

Disney Theatrical Productions just announced plans for a stage adaptation of the beloved '80s flick, which counts Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Billy Crystal and a young Fred Savage among its stars. The 1987 rom-com fantasy film, directed by Rob Reiner and based on William Goldman's 1973 novel of the same name, earned a cult following for its many quotable lines.

Robin Wright, Carey Elwes Reunite for 25th Anniversary of The Princess Bride

As you wish!

It's been 25 years since The Princess Bride's magical tale first stole audiences' hearts.

To celebrate the anniversary – and the film's Blu-ray release on Wednesday – the cast reunited for a screening at Alice Tully Hall in New York on Tuesday.

Robin Wright and Cary Elwes, whose on-screen love made the film a cult classic, joined Mandy Patinkin (Inigo Montoya), Chris Sarandon (Prince Humperdinck), Wallace Shawn (Vizzini), Carol Kane (Valerie), Bill Crystal (Miracle Max) and director Rob Reiner.
