Michael McKean, the smiling redhead best known for playing Lenny in the '70s sitcom Laverne and Shirley and for his appearances in the satirical mockumentaries This Is Spinal Tap, Best in Show and A Mighty Wind, is in stable condition after being hit by a car on an Upper West Side Manhattan sidewalk Tuesday afternoon.
McKean, 64, was being treated at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital for a broken leg and facial lacerations. "Hopefully, he'll be fine," his manager, Harriet Sternberg, told the New York Post.
