After the top eight contestants performed the night before, the results (a combination of judges' scores and viewers' votes) were announced on Wednesday.

Blake Shelton: No Romance This Valentine's Day with Miranda Lambert

Blake Shelton says Valentine's Day with fiancée Miranda Lambert probably won't be too passionate this year – and it has nothing to do with her forgetting to thank him at the Grammy Awards.

"The Grammys have kind of screwed up Valentine's Day for everybody here," the country singer, 34, told PEOPLE at the music-awards show on Sunday. "We're all going to get wasted tonight. I mean, we are. And we're going to feel like crap. The last thing we're going to want to do tomorrow is touch each other."

For her part, Lambert, 27 – who won Best Female Country Vocal Performance for "The House That Built Me" – said she's still expecting Shelton to step up today.

Miranda Lambert: Too Happy to Write Good Country Songs?

Miranda Lambert has a lot to be happy about: a sexy fiané, multiple Grammy nominations and her recent weight loss, to name a few.

So what's the problem?

"Being happy is horrible for songwriting, especially for country music. We just want to write about leaving and sadness," Lambert, 27, says in the March issue of Ladies Home Journal. "I have to put myself in a dark place if I want to write something good."

"I take all my out-of-town guests here, and they rave about it," she tells PEOPLE Country in its September issue. "In fact, I think they visit me just for the barbecue."
