Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett are celebrating four years of happy marriage by trying to expand their family with baby No. 2.

A recent vacation to Southern California's Big Bear Lake helped the couple further solidify their relationship, Wilkinson, 28, told PEOPLE on Saturday, as she hung out at a poolside cabana at Drai's in Hollywood's W Hotel to promote VEET hair removal products.

"Our week vacation in Big Bear, we found this new energy with each other, a new love, a new fascination about each other," she said. "And right now, we found the key to happiness. We have the key to marriage, we have the key to parenting, why not right now bring a new life into this world while we're this happy? It just makes sense."

Everyone seems to be weighing in on Katherine Webb's diet.

The former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb – whose looks made headlines this winter – shared her daily diet exclusively with PEOPLE in this week's issue, which includes her caloric intake.

The 5'11" model revealed that she eats only about 1,120 calories a day (an average menu: homemade smoothie for breakfast, green apple for snack, spinach salad with almonds and strawberries for lunch, frozen yogurt bar for snack and grilled chicken fingers with sweet potato fries for dinner). But an expert points out that that she could easily be eating more.

"Katherine does an amazing job eating three meals and two snacks, fueling her metabolism," nutritionist Haylie Pomroy tells PEOPLE. But with her workout schedule "she could add at least 600 more healthy calories."

Splash Crowns a Champion

After a season of surprises, spills and plenty of spandex, Splash came to an end Tuesday night.

The three finalists – Nicole Eggert, Rory Bushfield and Drake Bell – couldn't be more different from one another. Eggert, 41, surprised herself and viewers with her performance, even joking to PEOPLE that she missed her "calling" as an athlete. Bushfield, 29, a professional extreme skier, has predictably done well on the show, but ruptured an eardrum while training. And Bell, 26, has seriously impressed the judges (and diving great Greg Louganis) with his athletic prowess.

So who came out on top in the reality competition finale? Read on to find out …

Raising kids solo at any age is challenging, but raising kids and recovering from childbirth as a 40-plus single parent? That has its own unique difficulties, says Splash star Nicole Eggert.

Not that she's complaining.

"The kids' needs come first, work comes second and I come third," Eggert, 41, tells PEOPLE. "It takes away from any social life you might want to have, but I do it because I love my kids. It's something you can't explain. I think it's something only mothers know."

Is Splash Too Dangerous? The Experts Dive In

Originally posted 04/30/2013 04:50PM

It's one thing when a celebrity gets hurt training for the ballroom on Dancing with the Stars. But as fans of this spring's TV diving competition Splash have learned, when you put a star up on a springboard or platform, the danger level soars.

Or does it?

PEOPLE.com readers have expressed concern that the ABC reality competition poses a real threat to its participants – that the show may simply be too dangerous.

After all, Rory Bushfield ruptured an eardrum in a botched entry, Katherine Webb could no longer compete after an injury and Nicole Eggert was left bruised and swollen from a dive.

And when Kendra Wilkinson stepped down from the competition, she spoke up about her perception of the perils of the sport. "Every morning I would wake up and be shaking," she told PEOPLE earlier this month. "It's a really risky show. I related jumping off the high board into the water to jumping to my death. That's how big of a deal it was. To me, it really meant risking my life."

So we decided to do some investigating.

Following in the footsteps of Chuy Bravo, who also quit due to injury, Webb says it's doctor's orders.

"I went to the doctor, and unfortunately, he told me I'm out of the competition," Miss Alabama USA 2012 told the show's audience during an episode that aired on Tuesday.

Burke, 29, died last January after a crash at the bottom of a superpipe during a training run in Park City, Utah. The couple had married in 2010.

"My life's changed drastically," Rory, choking up, says in a clip of the show (watch below). "I lost my wife. I had it all. I still have a lot. I'm thankful for everything I have, but I had it all."

It's a really risky show. I related jumping off the high board into the water to jumping to my death. That's how big of a deal it was. To me, it really meant risking my life."

A teary-eyed Wilkinson climbed down from the 23-foot platform on Tuesday's show, and said, "One thing I don't do is quit. This is the first time in my life I've quit something. This will haunt me for the rest of my life."
