Bethenny Frankel is known for telling it like it is – especially when it comes to her personal life.
In this week's PEOPLE, the reality star-turned-talk-show host reveals the truth about her marriage to Jason Hoppy, which recently has been rumored to be on the brink.
"We've been scared," says Frankel, 41. "The second year of marriage was not easy. We hit bottom, [but] we came out the other side."
After rising to fame on Bravo's Real Housewives of New York City, Frankel has wrapped the final season of her reality series Bethenny Ever After, which magnified the couple's troubles this past year.

Her way with wit makes Bethenny Frankel one of TV's funniest ladies, but Monday the Bravo star took a break from the humor to reveal some somber news about her personal life.
Frankel says she was recently pregnant for eight weeks before having a miscarriage, she revealed during an interview Monday on the Today show.
"That was a very emotional experience," the teary-eyed Bethenny Ever After… star, 41, who welcomed baby Bryn with husband Jason Hoppy in May 2010, says. "Until you become a woman, you don't know the things that come with it."

Bethenny Frankel's TV takeover continues! The reality star has begun filming a pilot for a new talk show.
The former Real Housewives of New York City star, who will begin shooting season three of her Bravo series Bethenny Ever After in July, began taping this advice-style talk show earlier this month, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"I want to be on TV in a format where I can have a longer conversation with my fans rather than 140 characters on Twitter," Frankel, 40, said in an interview with the paper earlier this year.

The season finale of Bethenny Ever After was Monday night – and now Bethenny Frankel says it's time to take it easy.
"I love the show, I'm proud of it," Frankel told PEOPLE at the National Magazine Awards on Monday. "It's been a very emotional, intense season. But we're starting filming in July for season 3, and I need the hiatus."
She recouped with husband Jason Hoppy at the Viceroy Anguilla for two weeks after filming, she said, and since then has been trying to slow down. "I have really checked out of my own life a lot," the reality star, 40, said. "I'm laying low. I really hit the wall going 90 miles an hour."
