Originally posted 07/25/2009 10:00AM

Put the wedding bells on hold, because Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff just don't have time to get married right now.

The Dancing with the Stars pro couple, who became engaged in December 2008, are planning to wait until next summer so that they can first meet work commitments – including their gust-star roles in the new Broadway dance show Burn the Floor, which previews this weekend and will tie them up until Aug. 16.

"We don't plan [the wedding]," Chmerkovskiy, 29, told PEOPLE on Friday at a sneak peek of Burn the Floor. "We're [working] 14 hours a day. This is our life right now."

DWTS's Cheryl Burke: I'm In a 'Healthy' Relationship

Originally posted 06/30/2009 01:00PM

Two-time Dancing with the Stars champ, Cheryl Burke has spent the last eight seasons of her life helping others to realize their potential, so it's only fitting that she's found someone to do the same for her.

Burke calls her model boyfriend Maxwell Zagorski a "great influence in [her] life."

"He loves to go to the gym and he motivates me, so it's a good relationship we have!" Burke told PEOPLE at the 2009 Ivy Bethune Tri-Union Diversity Awards in L.A., where she was being honored (along with actor George Takei). "He's a model and so he needs to keep his body in shape, as well."

Their relationship, she said, is "going great," but she noted that he's also played a major role in helping her to stay healthy and keep her new beach body looking hot.

Originally posted 06/29/2009 09:25PM

Former Bachelor and Dancing With the Stars contestant Melissa Rycroft is finally headed down the aisle, proving she may be lucky in love after all.

Rycroft got engaged to Dallas insurance agent Tye Strickland on June 26 after they dated on and off for more than two years, PEOPLE has learned.

"He's my best friend," Rycroft, 26, gushed to PEOPLE last April about the 28-year-old agent.

The twosome rekindled their romance after Rycroft's engagement to The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick ended via a televised breakup on the After The Final Rose special on March 2.

Although he's making a strong bid for the mirror-ball trophy with his season-eight partner Melissa Rycroft, veteran Dancing with the Stars pro Tony Dovolani says the prize he's most focused on is his family.

"I find myself crying at a commercial if it's got kids in it," says Dovolani, whose wife Lina, daughter Luana, 3, and newborn twins Adrian and Ariana, live in Connecticut while he films DWTS in California. "I'll watch a movie that has to do with children and I find myself tearing up. I'm a family guy and every season I've had my whole family out here and this is the first time where the entire season I don't have my family out here."

With children too young to travel often, Dovolani's wife Lina keeps Tony up-to-date on the twins by sending him videos so he can watch them grow. "She's my hero," he gushes to PEOPLE.

Lance Bass: No Same-Sex Dancing Partner – For Now

Originally posted 09/16/2008 11:20AM

While Lance Bass has no qualms about dancing with a man in the public spotlight, he just doesn't think his Dancing With the Stars gig is the right outlet.

"I think it would be so silly that it would just overshadow everything else going on," Bass, the first openly gay contestant on the show, told E! Online. "I think it's so important for me to do this, but my biggest concern is I just hope it doesn't hurt the gay community in any way. I definitely feel a responsibility of making sure I represent well."

His standing in the gay community isn't the only thing on the line for Bass as a contestant on the new season of DWTS, whose new season premieres Sept. 22. As a member of the boy band ‘N Sync, he constantly suffered ridicule from his bandmates for being the worst dancer of the group.
